Desalis Hotel London Stansted  

I did now like anything about this hotel, the shower was broken, the T.v didn't work, the in room phone was broken. We were made to pay for breakfast that was meant to be free. I would never recomend this hotel!

The hotel had rude staff who over charged for breakfast, the shower in room wasa broken as was the T.V. The in room phone was broken too. Smell of cigarette smoke all around the hall way because staff were smoking at fire exit so there smoke was drifting right thru the building.

I have stayed in hundreds of hotels - from big to small. This one was wonderful. The rooms were surprisingly big (I was expecting less for the price I was paying), well appointed and scrupulously clean. The lifts to the airport were bang on time, and when I phoned for a lift back the minivan was there within 10 minutes. The attached Indian restaurant was an added bonus, yet the kitchens must have been out the back, because there was no smell at all. A wonderful stay, and one that I shall repeat when I fly from Stansted.

I sleeked the hotel because of its location, I wanted to be near to stagnated airport.

The welcome by the staff was very poor and not a warm one. All as the reception staff was interested in was getting the money and not interested in us 3 guests. We asked for a drink as we had travelled for several hours on a flight but we were refused. When I walked to my room I passed a fire exit that was blocked by a number of very large boxes in which appeared to be a new bathroom suite. I thought his was very dangerous in the case of a fire. When I got my room the hotel had parked cars not only in the rear car park but also right up to my room window. I had a view in to a big 4x4 front window which I found very odd. Breakfast was charged at £6.50 and was not very fulfilling even for a continental breakfast and the coffee machine did not work.

Ability to help with travel arrangements too and from airport and late opening restaurant.

Seems close to the flight path of stansted.

Excellent value for money, nice and very helpful staff,excellent food, good parking facilities, overall just very good. Would recommend this hotel to friends and family

I can honestly say there was nothing to like about this place although it's convenient for Stansted airport.

This is a tired place, not far from the Stansted airport but reliant upon a private taxi service run by the hotel, for which they charge £4.50 per person each way. This is advertised as a shuttle bus and therefore is confusing since you have to phone from the bus station. It's a bit like an old motel and certainly not a hotel worthy of a star rating. For the price I expect more than a lumpy sponge pillow, curtains which meet in the middle and a TV big enough to see from the bed. Sorry but I won't be back.
