Very Noisy ' not secure as the lock of the main door was not working .
Good quality furnishings for most part. Light and airy. Good location for tourist attractions and shopping. Good crockery and glasses.
Parking arrangements. Stairs to 1st floor, not suitable for disabled or infirm. Very difficult to carry cases. Blinds on windows not fitting properly/broken on one window. Very slippery shower no none slip pads/or grab handles for older/infirm guests.
Location, facilties, cleaness, room design.
Although the rooms were clean we'd like to get room making during our stay.
The location was fabulous there was a slight problem with early morning noise from the alley which we believe was garbage collection but we realise that you have no control over that. Overall we would recommend this location everything we needed was right there.
It was a comfortable and enjoyable stay. A home away from home.
No bin In the bathroom. Lack of elevator between ground and first floor, I had 3 big luggage because I was moving and handling them was very difficult.
The small detailed
The stairway at the enternce For 65 years old quite difficult to get out frequentelly
The location was great and particularly liked the easy process for entering the building and the apartment itself. All the facilities were fantastic, a lot of thought has obviously gone into what would be needed for a short or long stay.
It was a very noisy apartment, our apartment windows faced an alleyway where bins were being emptied early in the morning so didn't get a lot of sleep! Also, the apartment didn't feel very private since the alleyway often had folk hanging around and peering in (probably during their breaks working at nearby businesses) so had to draw the curtains fully at all times - would be useful to have some thinner netting or something along those lines underneath the curtains in order to let some natural light in.
Bed, the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on, mattress is completely worn out with the internal springs coming through, pillows absolutely terrible, no service from any staff, dont answer their phones, just leave it to go through to voice mail, no amenities, not even a bar of soap to wash yourself, located above McDonalds and KFC meaning the all night revellers yell and scream until 3 or 4 oclock while getting a feed and then vomit in the front door area. Theres no signs or markings to know where this place is, its a complete waste of money as its no bigger than an average hotel room, bathroom sink so small you hit your head on the mirror when you clean your teeth, there never serviced meaning you have the same towels for a week, oh and lets not forget the the three flight s of stairs you have to carry your bags up before you find the lift, all in all avoid this place
About 25 yards from Princes Street! Quiet apartment at back of building. Spacious apartment. About one minute walk to airport tram stop. About three minutes from central bus station. About five minutes from Waverley railway station.
Couldn't access Wi-Fi or use smart TV.
Great location Great apartment Do not have to deal with staff as all code operated
near the city centre!
hard to find a parking place!
Great location, very secure and modern and clean
Excellent location, nice apartment layout.
Water tepid every day. Bed was uncomfortable. Was no information about card pre-authorisation.
- very noisy (McDonlands and KFC right below) - matress was very old and uneven (needs replacing) - very expensive for what you get (try Motel One hotel 100m from this place - cheaper and truely 4 stars) the - no front desk or anyone to contact for assisatnce - bathroom door didnt close and basin was tiny - poor - defn not 4 stars
Great location. Lovely apartment. Very clean.
Mattress needs replacing. Could feel every spring!! No tea towel or dish cloth for wiping surfaces. Stairs from front door to lift may be a challenge if you have mobility issues or a large suitcase!
Bed side light did not work either did the free standing light
Location to Princes street is fantastic and having a PIN number instead of a key helped a lot allowing u to arrive at different times and not worry about a key. The apartment was a good size with pretty much everything you need for a week.
Parking was a bit of a drama as it's about 10 mins walk away from the apartment down a back street which if you have a big car proves entertaining. If you have bags, I'd suggest pulling up outside of the apartment building in the 'loading zone' and parking afterwards. Watch out you don't park on the white lines as you'll soon come face to face with a tram! Apple maps and the sat nav couldn't locate the exact address but if you search for McDonald's St Andrews Square it's located immediately next door. Don't expect a view from some of the apartments.
3 windows: View to big air ventilation, to a wall and a another wall. Was very loud!! No cleaning in 4 days and didn't change the towels. For this price, it wasn't acceptable.
Location, ease of approach, good bed, very good toilet and bath, easy access to all transport of Edinburgh, Cleanliness
They did not provide kitchen implements as advertised, viz no Hob, No dish washer, No oven. only microwave that to different model then shown in user guide placed in apartment, hair dryer given on second day. The door to apartment is next to KFC and Mcdonald and is often full of litter and refuse. Spoils the day.
Excellent location. Size a plus. Small kitchen but usable.
Apartment was lovely, clean & comfortable. I could happily live there. I liked the fact there was no key to access the apartment or the building so no risk of losing it. Also meant that each person could come and go as they liked without worrying about whether they can get in or not.
I emailed about parking three or four days before arriving and didnt get a response until I had already parked and arrived at the apartment. Wifi was very difficult to connect to but i did get it in the end. €800 for 2 nights was a bit much to pay although the apartment was lovely. Had to climb a long stairs before getting to the lift and with older family members with me this was difficult for them to do. Got no communication about this either.
right next to Princess st.
no welcome apart from cleaner.
Location was gd apartment looked gd & clean!
I had no internet while I was there as the password given didn't work & was lucky I had 4G on EE so was able to use my laptop! There wasn't a tin opener so may it a bit difficult to cook! Having the fast food places outside open so late wasn't gd
Great location You can walk to everything Plenty of food options close by
A little hard to find
Room was well appointed and extremely clean and comfortable. Superb location in the new town, moments from the train station and the old town. Despite location in the hubbub very peaceful room
Was unable to contact on-site staff to look to store baggage on day of check out.
