Breakfast was very nice as it was freshly cooked to order which makes a change from the bigger hotels where you quite often have a dried out buffet style selection. There was also fast wireless broadband. The broadband wouldn't work very well from my room but you are able to sit in the breakfast room and use it perfectly. Although they don't do evening meals, the local pub [The Cock Horse Inn] was excellent. The location caused me some bother as you have to cross a busy dual carriageway to head back towards London. The driveway is a bit tight for pulling in/out and you can't see up/down the road until you are half way out [that said, it isn't a particularly busy road].

A warm and friendly welcome, lovely room over looking the garden. Everyone was really helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Very good breakfast. Most of all it was so peaceful and hearing the birds in the trees first thing in the morning was a delight.

The house itself had lots of character. The room was very clean and comfortable with everything I needed, including free wi-fi. The cooked breakfast was excellent. Free car parking was available adjacent to the property. It is in a good location close to Maidstone.

Very good breakfast and clean room which was nicely decorated. Distance from anywhere else. Room was too small to be able to move. It was only just possible to squeeze past the bed. With 2 people in the room it would have felt like you were staying in a wardrobe.

The breakfast was nice and the room was clean. I waited 15 minutes before getting seen. The doorbell didnt work and with no phone reception I was waiting to be welcomed. The kettle in the room was cheap and tiny, took ages to boil. The water filter was too big to fit in the sink so you could only filter half a kettle at a time. The cups at breakfast time were dirty from dishwasher residue. Told the price includes vat then told they are not vat registered so can't claim it back.

Detling Coach House was a lovely little cottage with comfort, cleaness and extremily enjoyable breakfast'S. It is near to Maidstone with a good Park and Ride. As the Coach House is the highest point in Maidstone, the sunshine is most enjoyable and relaxing to the grounds of this splended little cottage.

It is a lovely place to stay. It is very peaceful and the full English breakfast breakfast was very good too. The staff was very nice and helpful. I strongly recommend this b&b for a weekend break. We went out to have dinner in Maidstone and when we came back around 11 there wasn't hot water so we couldn't have a shower.

the service offered by the owners went far beyond my expectations i.e. taking me into town with their own car, taking in a large package I had ordered etc. Breakfast was good and so was the room with a good sized bathroom and comfortable beds. Would definitely stay again.

Peaceful and quite no traffic noise no agricultural smells Sign for coach house poorly displayed ,needed cleaning and to be sited in a better location at head of drive as the view shown on the web site is not the view from the road so we drove past for several miles

Sorry to have to complain! Firstly, the bathroom on suite to my room had a bath that had a shower hose tap combination however with no shower curtain having a bath the only option. Every time the hot water tap was turned on a very noisy pump in the hot water tank cupboard located in the bathroom was extremely annoying and filling the bath at 10pm to enjoy a soak at the end of a long working day the water temperature being produced was just very luke warm and with no anti-slip mat for the bath available a health and safety issue. Secondly on vacating and leaving after breakfast at circa 8.15am paid the bill but was not offered a proper invoice which is necessary to claim back my expenses. The owner had left to take her children I believe to school and the member of staff left on duty could not raise one for me. I was finally offered a hotel compliment slip with a handwritten message 'Received the sum of £50 for 1 nights accommodation' which I said is just not good enough and asked for an invoice to be posted to my home address. I've never experienced this before and it should be common practice for invoices to be made out ready for all guests in advance to overcome this unacceptable situation. Thirdly, being a business traveller, the lack of working space facility in my room was a problem.
