The grounds and views were spectacular. The old parts of the building were beautiful and well maintained. The pool was good too and we enjoyed breakfast.

The bedroom and bathroom decor was a little tired.

Location, surrounding countryside, view, quietness, swimming pool.

A way to the bar and restaurant should be marked better. More signs (outside and inside) would be useful, specially if you do not stay in the main building.

    Nice quiet countryside area

Tiny rooms & somehow they are hotter than outside. Impossible to sleep in the heat. One small electric fan provided with the room but just circulates the hot air. Paperthin plasterboard walls as well means you can here your neighbour sleeping.

The location had great landscape and relaxing atmosphere in the gardens.

The rooms were to small to be brown which caused them to be dark and feel grubby. No Air conditioning which was unbearable and the noise of portable fans was too loud to sleep through.

Staff very friendly and helpful, in particular the ladies that greeted us for breakfast, facilities very good especially swimming pool and sauna area.

Muse rooms very uncomfortable, our room was unbearably hot, and although there was a fan provided in the room it did not make a great deal of difference. We stayed in 2013 and thought the heat in these rooms was a one off, but unfortunately not, for a relatively new building some degree of air conditioning was a mistake in its design.

The Manor House and beautiful grounds (not mentioned by check-in staff so explore a little). Decent breakfast (at an extra £8.50 ea).

Price of drinks more suited to a Central London hotel. Grouting in bathroom mouldy, giving appearance of dirtiness.

The hotel surroundings were truly stunning, and it is obvious to see why you would opt to have a wedding here. The main building itself looked wonderful.

Unfortunately we were visiting when there was a wedding on with no prior warning to this. So we were not able to enjoy walking around the main building or use the facilities in there which was a real shame. Also we were located in the latimer news, (this is a separate building away from the main hotel building that you see pictured) which I can only liken to a greenhouse! It was extremely hot in there with no air conditioning in the rooms just a small ineffective table fan. Such a shame as the rooms were done nicely but mid summer is not the time to be In these rooms unless you love saunas.

    Restaurant staff very good

Reception staff unfriendly, would like to be acknowledged when I pass and they aren't busy At check in I wasn't asked if I wanted to have my card swiped to enable bills to be charged to my room Room small and cramped Don't replace my soap every day when I can use it again

Welcomed the dog. Excellent food at very reasonable prices lovely common rooms one particularly friendly and helpful male, more mature member of the staff at breakfast. Fab grounds and views very interesting building

Creaky floors but that comes with the age of the building! Very weak coffee in the room

The pool and sauna. The grounds were lovely.

The chaotic check-in process, especially being told that we would have to change rooms on the second night until we complained!

The building and grounds are outstanding! The hotel internally looks ok, but the rooms are rather basic - suitae for our needs however! Enjoyed our stay immensely.

The interior looks a little tired and due to a large wedding party, breakfast was taken in an annex building!!

Friendly staff, beautiful old building restored and renovated sympathetically.

Room we were allocated was poor-too small, almost claustrophobic, very hot even with fan blowing day & night. Also, telephone in room was disgustingly dirty!
