Privacy was good. Got room service order wrong on first night, Shower over bath glass screen did not fit and hung outside bath (room 312) so there was a lake on floor after shower. Beer glass not cleared from room on 2 consecutive days. Added 3 nights to stay but room keycard did not work on the added days. Tv totally rubbish - small portable run off an internal aerial with snowy pictures all channels (no channel 5 or sky sports 1 - get digiboxes and Freeview!! |

The location is great. Lunch at the Bricklayers in Flaunden is a definite must! We walked there from Latimer Place over the public footpath, it was lovely and the food was superb. Staff had a bit of a 'computer says no' attitude when we asked for a room in the main building. The other building wasn't nice and quite a way from the main building, reception and leisure facilities. We were given a single room and had to to-and-fro from the main building to get it sorted. Next room was a double but again over in the other buidling, Nice but could've done with a dust and vacuum. Also over a noisy pipe/vent or something so couldn't open window. Had to walk back to our room in the cold with wet hair after visiting the leisure facilities. Had to get out of the jacuzzi and tread on the button to restart it, as the switch was not working properly and the water could have done with a change. |

Room was clean and well decorated, albeit quite small. The location is great and has a spacious feel about it. |

For a hotel so near to London it is quiet, but has good road links. Attractive grounds. Generous and attractive room and en-suite. Most of the staff. Availability of swimming pool (although as it happens we did not use it). Promotion price. Bar area. Motor (water pump?) just outside room causing a lot of vibration between 6.00 am and 11.00 pm. Hotel is used by groups, which can be noisy. |

The house was beautiful from the outside and you could feel the history on the inside. The reception staff were friendly and helpful when I asked for a fan to be brought upto my room. The decor of my room was very nice, I was in the mews. You couldn't get anything to eat until 7pm, which would be fine if there were other facillities nearby but as it's in the middle of nowhere, there wasn't. The dinner menu for the restaurant was appalling, there were only 3 choices of starter and 3 for main course, none of which was appealing (think anchovy salad and lambs livers). I ended up getting room service and had a very upset stomach later that evening! The room was stifling hot and had a strong smell of cleaning products. The bathroom wasn't very clean, there was rust round parts of the bath as well as a build up of limescale and the toilet seat had huge chips out of it. The stay was cheap, only £49 but in future I'll return to the Premier Inn in Watford! |

Very friendly staff and lovely breakfast. Stunning location and well sized pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Great for a relaxing weekend in beautiful countryside. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Some of the rooms still have very tiny TVs, but there's a big screen in the bar, so if you really want to watch TV while you there, you can. |

The food from the restaurant was excellent. My colleague and i ate in there for 3 nights and it was fantastic every time. The hotel rooms need modernising, although they are tidy and clean they are very tired looking and not in keeping with the quality of the rest of the hotel. Also the changing rooms in the gym are well past their best. |

The setting in wonderful countryside and parkland, very peaceful. I would defintely return because of this. The window on my room opened directly to the air con vent which was noisy ++ so that if window open too noisy to sleep, if closed too hot to sleep; there was a fan but that also was too noisy to sleep. Staff were very sympathetic next morning and moved me without hesitation to another room which was very quiet. |

the spa facilities were great, the room large and comfortable, the staff helpful and the food was good value. The location was stunning. the room when tidied was not tidied to a very high level, the sound in the old house travelled through the walls, and.the parking left you with a long walk up and down stairs with cases to your room. |
