We enjoyed the relaxed nature of the place, the facilities were excellent. Its location was good for the reason we were in the area, close to the city as well as to the countryside for walking. We ate at the Boathouse on the first night and were disappointed at the standard of the food and felt it was a bit expensive, comparing it to other places we have dined at of a similar style/menu.

Excellent location. Warm and friendly staff. Peaceful and relaxing. The interior design is nice, mixing the old with the modern. Mystical surroundings both inside and outside of the hotel. Lots of activities both inside and nearby the hotel. Great Chinese restaurant nearby in the town of Balloch - The Princess Rose - the best Chinese meal I have ever had. It was my wife's birthday and we had mentioned this to the hotel. They said we had been upgraded, but the room was very small and on the ground floor. I arranged with the hotel staff for a delivery to be made to the room on my wife's birthday. The delivery wasn't made and I had to return to the reception area again to request it. They seemed to have no interest in or make any effort for my wife's birthday. The female changing area and toilets at the swimming pool were "filthy". Very expensive.

We enjoy the comfort and warm welcome we usually recieve. The value for money is normally not an issue as they provide high quality accomodation and you expect to pay a premium for that service. The location is stunning and the accessibility to country walks exemplary. The standar of the room on entry was not good, litter bins un-emptied. We arrived at 12:30 and were told our room was not ready but they would call me on my mobile when ready and the room would be given priority for availability. 3 hours later no cal we returned to the hotel and the room was still not ready. 10 minutes later we were given our key, on entry the litter bin had not been emptied and the standard of room was not as expected, although a loch view, the room itself was 'smaller' than on previous visits. We had a meal at the Cameron Grill, which again was below previous quality, the steak my wife had, 'well done' was like an old boot. At breakfast they had changed the tea provision, not providing individual tea pots but a carry round pot which took ages to top up. We asked for toast, normally delivered with the tea and this took ages. The quality of breakfast was far less than our last visit and even less than our visit to a De Vere Holiday village in Liverpool. Overall very disappointed and very over priced.

The location sets this establishment aside from other competitors. The banks of Loch Lomond are quite spectacular. I booked the Executive King Suite for my girlfriend's birthday and the room did not disappoint. It was quite exceptional. It completely surpassed any expectations that I had. There was very little I could pick fault with to be fair. However, I would just like to note that the air conditioning was set to 25 degrees so the room was uncomfortably warm on arrival. Very easily sorted however.

Bedding fluffy and fresh mattress very comfortable Immaculate hotel "public" toilets Quiet and spacious public rooms with real fires. Corridors well lit by sparkly lanterns and decor in restful, natural shades. The assorted seating added comfortable homely touch. Breakfast/dining room presents one with a sense of excitement and expectation. The meal does not disappoint. Locally sourced produce is so good. Successive clear days with bright sun in March! Newspapers available and discretely racked Waiting to be seated at breakfast. The B'fast receptionist was serving at tables as well as trying to run the desk. The "Dark" feel to the entrance foyer. An unfortunate attempt to represent things Scottish. Puddly roads throughout site make a romantic after dinner saunter unpleasant.

Everything about the hotel was excellent. When we arrived to check in the reception staff were very nice and they carried our bags up to the room. We went for a swim and a sauna before going to the the boat house for dinner and when we came out it was raining so the hotel sent a car along to pick us up. When we went down for breakfast there was so much to shoes from and it was all really nice. All in our stay was very enjoyable the only thing that could of made it better is a extra 1 or 2 nights but it was fully booked.

Hotel staff and location were all superb, couldn't fault the hotel at all. Would stay at the hotel again. Just one small thing, service in the claret jug was slow, only two waiters on and it was really busy. Had to wait a while for service.

We were a group of 17 celebratin a special family birthday. From planning through to cecking out all the staff we met were exceptional. We had a large private dining room which was super - the food was excellent and the setting stunning. If there were any minor hiccups the staff excelled in remedied them - all went the extra mile

From the concierge Sam who met us when we drove up to when we left the staff were wonderful. Despite its obvious grandeur the hotel had a great atmosphere about it and were made welcome from the time we arrived. The room was very good, the cuisine was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. I would have no hesitation in coming back. Minor quibbles that really would be nit picking and not worth commenting on as it would give the wrong impression of what was an excellent few days relaxation.

All the staff were amazing, extremely welcoming at reception and throughout the hotel. We stayed in the scotia suite which was mind blowing. It was more like an apartment than a hotel room. The views from the room over the lochside were out of this world and as for the food, what can I say wow!!! I would highly recommend staying here I know it can be a little expensive but well worth the money for a special treat. I am already looking to return in a few weeks. Thanks to all the staff. No negative points to say whatsoever, just book up and enjoy your stay.
