Lovely, spacious room with very comfortable bed. Decorated and furnished to very high standard. Meal at Wishart's was glorious. Heated pool extremely relaxing. Quirky artworks were nice. Staff very helpful with everything.
Jacuzzi out of order was disappointing.
kitchen very poor at evening
waiters on breakfast smelling ugly
The gorgeous rooms, the reception check in process. The area around the hotel to run!
The beauty bar had a few services that were not offered and seemed to be busy according to appointments but no one was in there. I think some new leadership or a little revamp would make the experience much more inviting!
Stayed overnight for my husband's 50th birthday. We had a lovely meal in Martin Wishart's restaurant. Room, leisure facilities and bar were excellent.
Stayed in contemporary suite great facilities, views, quiet, all great
The stay was extremely relaxing from the outset. The staff are welcoming and helpful and the facilities are excellent. The room was large, airy and comfortable, the bar area cosy and comfortable. The Boathouse was fabulous!
A bit of a wait at check out and collecting the car, but this was minor.
-garden view room was a parking view room! -access to the spa is not included! -swimming pool very dirty and open to the public from the camping sites and surrounding villages -room was not clean -no slippers -wifi didn't work -staff at breakfast not professional at all (had to ask 3 times and wait 30 minutes to get coffee and toasts) -far too expensive for the quality they provide NEVER AGAIN !!!
Everything but particularly the setting - wonderful
location staff everything perfect though slightly overpriced
The room was lovely and had a great loch view good swimming facilities hotel staff very friendly
Didn't realise there were two sites so didn't plan the two days and missed out on going to the spa and roof top pool
Return to Cameron House a few times a year foe some relaxation and never disappoints feels like a home from home
Good choice of food, well prepared, generous portions, location quiet, bed very comfortable
No walk in shower :(
Lea sure facilities Comfy beds Good breakfast
Staff needed a front of house Who could oversee the restaraunt , the bar staff were more interested in the till than looking as to who needed serving.
Too big, perfect for families
myself and my husband stayed here for 2 nights after our wedding, it was excellent we had stayed before and actually got engaged there. we stayed in one of the lodges this time we chose to stay in the hotel itself, it was a completely different experience to the lodges. the staff are so attentive and can't do enough for you. we felt totally spoiled and will definately be back for our anniversary!
Could have been because of location
All doors banged terribly constantly disturbing rest
The hotel is in a beautful location and the spa facilities at carrick are amazing!
When booking the spa treatments I asked for a couples room to get the treatments together and this was not given to us. I also requested to upgrade the room 2 weeks in advance and this was not provided
Everything it was fantastic in every way
General relaxed atmosphere
Breakfast sl chaotic and staff busy with slow replacement of condiments/ butter and slow to clear tables. Dining room is sl cramped when busy
Service was substandard insufficient staffing levels commensurate with price positioning.
The setting and facilities are breathtakingly good.
Having to leave after our two night stay!
Smart rooms.spacious.really friendly staffo
Loch view with a great big tree in the way Silicone in the bathroom was a bit moldy in the corners of the bath which was unexpected at devere hotel
The Martin Wishart's restaurant was exceptional and the staff there- brilliant. We also loved our bathroom and the location is great.
We had a room at the very far end of the hotel and there was no wi-fi signal whatsoever. We had booked a double room but got a twin. After going to the front desk twice, they just pushed the beds together and covered with a large bedsheet, no mattress. This was not acceptable for a 5-star hotel.
Excellent location, beautiful scenery. Meal at The Boathouse was very good and could not fault service. All the gentlemen who greet you in reception really courteous and friendly. We went rifle shooting and it was very enjoyable and guys there extremely nice.
Service at breakfast both mornings was slow and there were dirty dishes on tables. The service in The Great Scot Bar on Saturday afternoon was terrible. Again dirty dishes on table and had to ask to have table cleaned before our food arrived. There were a number of weddings on but hotel should make sure there are adequate staff on duty to accommodate all guests. Cameron House on a par price wise with Gleneagles and Old Course, St Andrews but unfortunately is way behind when it comes to customer service.
