The friendliness of the staff and the comfortable bed. They had failed to give us the requested twin bedded room and when they moved us we were in a tired room which had no natural light as the "window" had obscured glass because it looked into one of the reception/bar rooms. The hotel was full and there was apparently no other room with twin beds available. |

Pleasant surroundings, lots of free parking. Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel in good condition - looked recently refurbished. Room comfortable. Bedroom felt cold initially, and heating did not appear to work just blowing out cool air, maybe not switched on from the summer period? Could be because the room hadn't been used for a while? After a period it seemed to warm up, or maybe we got used to it. |

This place is incredible. The best out of 10 hotels we choose for our 2 weeks roundtrip through England, even though the food was terrible. Sorry but the food was terrible!! For a top hotel like this it's inacceptable. |

the quality of the food in the Brasserie at lunchtime was very good, very enjoyable My room was too hot and i was unable to do anything to make it cooler - i did not sleep well because of this, so my stay was, in effect, spoiled. i was disappointed about this. |

Lovely building and grounds The bed! Whilst it was a good, spacious room the twin beds, pushed together were extremely soft and very uncomfortable. My husband and I had a very disrupted two nights sleep and I had to visit my osteopath today to address my resulting back problem. Otherwise a pleasant stay. |

Beautiful building and surroundings and relaxed atmosphere. Close to major routes and city centre We booked as part of a group and was told in March 2009 that we had a special rate (£87.50). The staff seemed incapable of sorting this out so I've had to pay full price. I will be writing to the manager to complain. It was my brothers wedding and it has marred the visit considerably. |

I enjoyed the pool and sports facilities. Breakfasts were average.Staff on the whole were helpful and friendly. The pillows were old hard and fit for the bin.Two easy chairs would have been nice in the bedroom. Toiletries were below standard. I would have expected Molton Brown or Elemis for the price I paid. Crockery wasn't always clean. Room was dusty. |

Pleasant staff, clean rooms, lovely food, excellent wine, lively dining room atmosphere, beautiful building No air con in rooms and was too hot. Our back bedroom was near a generator so a bit noisy. Spa a bit tired and in need of refurbishment. |

Good location, friendly and helpful staff and ideal for golf and the Broads/East Anglian coast plus Norwich and surrounding sites/attractions. Standard rooms were in the old building and were a bit tired so we upgraded to the superior room on our second night and the difference was remarkable.Much better and more modern all round and well worth the upgrade, and perhaps could affect people's perception depending on their room type. |
