Huge family room and good bed configuration for older children . 50in tv which was great for watching rugby world cup! Bill £20 more than your website. Decor was horrible restaurant in particular was extremely kitch and bedrooms extremely masculine (all black and red lots of stripes and crushed velvet)

Accessibility to other towns, sports facilities Didn't enjoy evening meal (pub grub) on Friday night, food was very basic and lacked taste and presentation. I wouldn't want to eat there again! Although our room was clean and spacious, we found the lighting to be quite poor; it was almost impossible to read our newspaper and book. We over heard a business women at breakfast time talking to a colleague about how she found the her room to be too dark.

We were in an adjoining room, we could hear people in next room having a normal conversation. Therefore we were whispering in our room, which was a bit annoying.

Gym is excellent, Room was comfortable. Place was very clean. Parking was good. Hotel has no personality. Ground floor franchised out to chains: Starbucks, some american Italian restaurant chain (could as well have been pizza hut!), and a generic pub with sky sports. Though none of this is offensive the impression bland and generic. For a 4 star hotel they add absolutely nothing to the character of the place. De Vere has all the brand appeal of a dreary 60s built high-street. I guess that's the American influence. Staff were efficient but hardly unremarkable. As with most hotels on the periphery of swindon, shops are in very short supply and there's really nothing except housing and low-rise business parks. Town centre is horrendous post-soviet style concrete.

Great family hotel with Bowling, Ice Rink & Cinem on the door step. Very friendly staff at all the places we took the kids. Lovely taxi drivers - would definately go back and recomend to friends. One morning my Mum & Dad took the kids (aged 4 &5) swimming before breakfast - this was fine. The next morning a rather abrupt lady told them they were not alowed in before 9am as it was also a private members club - not just for residents......... I think this should be made more clear if that's the case - and there is no need to be hostile.

The layout of the hotel, location was ideal for cinema, bowling complex ect, comfortable seating area with Starbucks bar, the spa experience was good & didn't feel rushed like some hotels do, overal a lovely stay. The prices of drinks in the pub, restaurant & Starbucks! Also thought the decor & lighting of the hotel created a relaxing ambiance, our room was very nice but thought the bathroom let it down, could do with updating & felt a bit dirty, also we missed not having any biscuits.

Excellent check in at reception Very good staff at breakfast Victory pub and klitchen - very poor customer service from bar staff - on three occasions I waited to be served when 3 to 4 staff were talking to each other - not even an acknowledgement I was waiting - are they new staff? They seemed very unsure of how to operate the bar. I am staying again in a few weeks time, it will be interesting to see if my recent experience was just a one off one.

Starbucks in the lobby. Cinema across the parking lot. Food in Buca di Beppo. Christmas festivities. I liked the room designs and low lighting. Dodgy "speed bump" at entrance. Cold lobby when main door opens (suggest air curtain).

Never knowing what the hotel is really like until you arrive and the location of your room to whats going on around. I have to say we were totally happy with the room and how quiet it was even with a party going on too. I have stayed in over 100 different hotels around europe this year, I would also say this is up there with the best. Breakfast was good , maybe to only crictism would be the display of the grapefriut and various friuts for breakfast Shower gel wash empty over the bath, If this is all you can say well it must be a good hotel. Maybe a frig in the room for the future when its time for the next revamp.

We have stayed in the hotel before. Its latest renovation is very good.tThe Restaurants are very reasonable priced. Would stay here again The design of the room was good but the eco lighting and the habitat style the black so called slats on the wall made the room dark.the mirron on the desk was too modern. Not all women want to use the bathroom to do their make up.
