Accessibility to other towns, sports facilities Didn't enjoy evening meal (pub grub) on Friday night, food was very basic and lacked taste and presentation. I wouldn't want to eat there again! Although our room was clean and spacious, we found the lighting to be quite poor; it was almost impossible to read our newspaper and book. We over heard a business women at breakfast time talking to a colleague about how she found the her room to be too dark.

Room quiet and comfortable. Reception staff very helpful. Restaurant open 'til 11pm and aimed at large parties. Room refurbishment has been mostly well done. Breakfasts generous. Bedroom walls slightly sticky - seems to have been a property of one of the paints used. Restaurant advert (picture of horse's head in bed found on arrival) very distasteful, and yes I do get the reference - its just not funny. Restaurant: too hot, music too loud, chairs too hard, coke too watery, food with no perceptible herbs or seasonings and bolognaise like tomato soup with spaghetti in it. Italian food can be done so much better than this; wish we'd gone to the Victory for a burger! Breakfast cereal choice limited: the only hotel I can remember visiting with no muesli.

The service and staff at the Victory Bar was extremely poor. The queue at the bar was three deep, and having queued 20 mins, i decided the quickest way to get served was room service. I complained, and complained by e-mail. Room service took 40mins. I was also informed that the general manager would be contacting me regarding my complaint...but the general manaer must also working the bar, because i am still waiting for the reply.

Relaxing, swimming and enjoyed a meal in the Italian restaurant. Would have preferred for staff to advise that the restaurant was likely to be busy to book a table when we checked in as had quite a late dinner. This was just for a night away with my mother just a small break. Only thing pool was a bit small and children there they could have been in the small child pool attached not the main one.

Leaving. Dirty bathroom, Broken toilet seat. No cold water. Both taps ran hot or hot. Complained...Nothing done. Too noisy. The cleaning staff hounds you long before you leave to clean your room. Booking out is before 11:00am, they're at your door from 09:00 and make so much noise you are glad to leave. The breakfast was disgusting..We were hungry so ate some, but it would be an insult to feed this to your pet. Service was slow with the staff just moaning to each other. This hotel is suited for hen nights, stag parties, families who want a cheap room and anybody else who gets dumped in there by their company. Not recommended. A very disappointing stay.

The hotel is built on 4 sides around a central courtyard. The rooms have been recently refurbished but in terrible taste. Rooms have grey walls with one wall having dark grey and black horizontal stripes. The carpet is bright coploured thin stripes. Lighting is very dim so the overall feeling of the room is very oppressive. The hallways also have the same stin striped carpet with grey walls. Since the hallways are very long they are very disorientating when you walk in them. The rooms can be located very far from reception if you are on the far side of the courtyard. Food and drink in the bars and restaurants is expensive and only of reasonable quality. Over all I would avoid staying in a De Vere Village location in future as this appears to be the selected decor for their refurbishments

Excellent check in at reception Very good staff at breakfast Victory pub and klitchen - very poor customer service from bar staff - on three occasions I waited to be served when 3 to 4 staff were talking to each other - not even an acknowledgement I was waiting - are they new staff? They seemed very unsure of how to operate the bar. I am staying again in a few weeks time, it will be interesting to see if my recent experience was just a one off one.

The swimming pool was good fun and my children really enjoyed it. Although the rooms were spacious I wouldn't say that they were any better equipped than hotels of a less star which was a surpise

The leisure facilities (gym, pool etc) were all excellent and helped to make this a great relaxing break. We'd really recommend the 2 night special price for a relaxing and feel good break.

Starbucks in the lobby. Cinema across the parking lot. Food in Buca di Beppo. Christmas festivities. I liked the room designs and low lighting. Dodgy "speed bump" at entrance. Cold lobby when main door opens (suggest air curtain).

Room was comfortable and the staff were very helpful. Dietry needs were met. Restaurants - it would be better to have a restaurant offering a variety of foods. The previous DeVere restaurant was far superior. We don't particualrly like Italian foods and ate in the Pub but this was too busy and noisy. Secondly the decor is extremely dark and .

The room was very comfortable and quiet and not too hot. Very friendly and helpful staff. Food at evening event hot and of good quality. Lighting poor in bedroom - reading lamp not working but would have been difficult to read sitting on sofa even if it had.

Never knowing what the hotel is really like until you arrive and the location of your room to whats going on around. I have to say we were totally happy with the room and how quiet it was even with a party going on too. I have stayed in over 100 different hotels around europe this year, I would also say this is up there with the best. Breakfast was good , maybe to only crictism would be the display of the grapefriut and various friuts for breakfast Shower gel wash empty over the bath, If this is all you can say well it must be a good hotel. Maybe a frig in the room for the future when its time for the next revamp.

We have stayed in the hotel before. Its latest renovation is very good.tThe Restaurants are very reasonable priced. Would stay here again The design of the room was good but the eco lighting and the habitat style the black so called slats on the wall made the room dark.the mirron on the desk was too modern. Not all women want to use the bathroom to do their make up.
