The hotel looked very nice and the facilites were excellent. We made the mistake of staying in the hotel on a match day and I would never do it again )(it just clashed with our anniversary date). The parking attendants were terrible and allowed are car to be blocked in, despite the hotel and match parking being separate. This lead to us missing our reservation in a local restaurant. The hotel staff were not very helpful and in fact one member was very rude to my wife. I have stayed at this hotel at the same date for the last 8 years and I might not stay here again.

The location close to the motorway, the room looking into the stadium, and the bar staff were very friendly and very good and attentitive and knew their jobs. The front desk staff were below average compared to most hotels and certainly a hotel of this kind of rating

I was visiting my home town with a brother for a family memorial the following day. When I made the online booking with tongue in cheek I requested a "Sea View" (Horwich is no where near the sea). Imagine my surprise and pleasure when I walked into my room 506 looked at the window and saw a Sea View with Sun, Blue Sea, Seagulls and Boats ! Yes.... your reception staff had drawn a Sea View on flip chart paper an stuck it on the window. Now thats what I call customer service!

Location. I did not enjoy my stay at the de vere whites hotel at all. No info given when checking in as to pool closing on christmas day. Could not deliver room service within an hour. Excuse for everything .. It was christmas day we were busy. Its a match day etc etc. Takes a long time to make a pannini heres your cold latte to help you wait for it. To be honest absoloutely shocking. I was even asked by a chamber maid chomping on dinner if I would like my room cleaned. To say that this is a 4 * hotel is terribly generous. Will probably never stay at a De veres again. Train your staff

Location, comfort and great staff Tv needs an upgrade. Breakfast was good and also cheap but I would be prepared to pay more for freshly cooked rather than it standing under heat lamps. Also a wider menu to include fish (smoked salmon etc) would be nice

The rooms were clean and spacious. Wake up call on time. Staff friendly and helpful. The hotel was noisy. Guests along the corridor and above me making noise in the early hours, I could hear their entire conversation. No mini bar in the room, or if there was, I couldn't find it! The waiter forgot our wine with lunch and at dinner we had to repeatedly ask for bread that was doled out to us in individual slices. Food OK.

On arrival, me and my partner were greeted with a smile and the lady behind the counter was happy to help and had a pleeaet smile Which counts a lot. When I walked to the bar or saw any member of staff, they always greeted me with sir which makes you feel special. Not that I need or deserve to dressed as sir but as someone who has worked in customer service all over the world, I am often quite picky at the service but overall I was satisfied and will look forward to staying there again.

On arrival, the hotel looked reception was warm and inviting. Staff very helpful and welcoming. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. I liked the way the hotel was set out, with different seating areas and options for having a drink or food if wanted, in different areas. We had a wonderful visit and will definitely visit again.
