I have been staying here for the past 7 years and each time it has been great. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the rooms are clean, beds are comfy and the breakfast is gorgeous! Only a 15 minute walk from the town centre and the beach is just opposite. I will be back again next year!
If you are a poor light sleeper like me, it would probably be better to choose a room at the back. The views are lovely out front but the road below is constantly busy so I have been kept awake. However if you can sleep like a normal person, go for it!
Really helpful staff, all clean and working if a bit eccentric in the decor. Very good value for money.
near bus stops sea view very clean rooms friendly and helpful staff tvs in rooms and shared lounge microwave ironing board free wi fi everywhere
Having just stayed at this bed and breakfast , I can highly recommend it for various reasons including: sea and beach view (even for some single rooms), choice of breakfast (full English or continental), availability of ironing board and iron, radio alarm in rooms, microwave and cutlery/crockery for bought in evening meals and finally friendly and helpful staff.
From the warm friendly greeting when we arrived to the excellent breakfast service we were made very welcome. Comfortable bed, lovely shower and bathroom. Right on the seafront for that early evening stroll. Only one night but a great stay
We had an extremely enjoyable stay at Devon View Guest House. The hosts were extremely accommodating and friendly and pampered to our every need. The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking and the breakfast plentiful with extras offered if needed. This was really good value for money and I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. Thank you. :)
A bit cramped
Breakfast. View excellent but.....
Penny pinching. Noise from dual carriageway 20 feet from the front window. Mauve bedroom.
The room was small but comfortable and clean
Everything in the room was purple! The TV was purple, the remote was purple, the walls were purple...you have to like purple a lot to stay in the room we had!
We like the breakfest, the room. The people of the hotel are very kind en friendly. We loved our 5 days stay in this hotel.
This is a good place to stay. It is close to the beach and nearby are plenty of cafes, restaurants, pubs etc. The Bayview a few doors down is recommended especially if Joe Schmo is playing. great band. We were there for Villarreal (c'mon the subs) v Swansea and had a great time. Would stay here again.
Clean, well equipped and a good location.
The fact there was a fridge in the breakfast area that was only for those having continental breakfast. This led to a reprimand for a guest whose first language clearly wasn't English and who obviously hadn't understood the sign. Not exactly welcoming.
the breakfast is very good!
The shower is not good, everytime when you have a shower ,only hot water no cold water;and the single room is not very clean, not worth the price
Lovely little place, room had a nice feel to it. Plenty of milk in the tray for tea in the rooms which was lovely!
Room is so small
Breakfasts, cleanliness, friendliness, good value for money.
Parking restrictions a bit tricky but do-able. Some of the guests were noisy at night and paid no thought to other guests trying to sleep, no fault of Guest House staff though.
Hosts friendly and breakfast environment was excellent.
Bathroom is on different level to room
The staff were very accommodating and allowed me to take the room over early. My room had en-suite and was clean. Close proximity to my course and opposite the sea. Breakfast was very good and delivered with a friendly smile. A+++
Bad reviews when people have quite clearly not read the details on their booked room or expect too much from the owners!!! If it states breakfast timings etc funnily enough - these are the timings!!!
Decent room and breakfast.
The location is awkward -- too far from the center of Swansea to walk comfortably, perched right above a noisy highway, across from a less than attractive beach.
Location friendly staff
Not en suite no cold water in room
Wonderful staff and wonderful place！
The hot water is troublesome
Good breakfasts and location on the seafront.
Room and bathroom very cramped with an ill-fitting sliding door between the two. No parking in the street, you have to hope you can get into a nearby carpark and pay £5 for the privelege.
Nice view; staff was very friendly.
Friendly staff and facilities which were very user-friendly.
Very clean, well equipped and comfortable room with a lovely view looking out across Swansea Bay. Great location, close to the city center and a stones throw from the cycle path which leads to the mumbles. The staff were very friendly. The Welsh Breakfast was exactly what we wanted in the morning.
The only downside was the lack of nearby (free) parking. This was a minor issue and was caused by the extra traffic which came along with the University graduation ceremonies being held nearby.
