Worth the money for a night stay!
It was warm, clean with plenty of hot water.. Sea just across the road.
Bathroom on a different floor. Light over sink in bedroom not working. Water drained very slowly in bedroom sink.
polite, inviting family run business well maintained and clean very well priced local to city centre all you need is provided great service very nice breakfast
Right near beach
No shops near by
If it wasn't for the lady who had greeted us I think we would have found somewhere else to stay. She was friendly and made us feel comfortable. The room was clean and comfy. Breakfast was nice, friendly welcome again.
We were rang at 5:45pm whilst on the train to see what time we would be arriving, we said 6:30pm ish, great! We got a bit lost and whilst 6 months pregnant took a bit longer to walk. We were rang at 6:50 to see where we were (baring in mind online it states check in is 3-9) My partner answers to a very rude man who asked us to 'get a jog on' as he had some where to be at 7pm. The curtain came half off as we pulled them shut!
Clean place, comfortable bed, you can park your car at the back street, friendly staff, acceptable breakfast. My room had no sea views but was quiet. It was a cold day and there were good heating.
Room a little small. Chek out time at 10, although we gave the keys back at 10:30 with no problem at all.
Comfort, friendliness, easy access to all facilities. Great view.
Room too small and shower kept falling off stand. Corridor was buzzing of s&#t in the night
Location - reasonably close to town centre Warm Welcome Clean rooms well appointed bathroom
Double room was very small
Friendly staff who take time to talk to you but also work well Good view of the sea from one bedroom window (front of building) Close to the city center Good facilities (sweet on pillow, tea and coffee in room, free wifi)
Even though the bed was comfy, the mattress could have been slightly softer
Shops view and good food
staff were friendly. Facilitiies were clean. Breakfasts were good.
Found bed adequate but a little hard. No ensuite bathroom and down a flight of steps.
Hotel was very good and the staff were also very nice, would recommend to people and stay again.
The result of the football match
The bed was comfortable and I could have internet at the same room. You could reach walking to the centre and to the bus station with no problem.
The room was very small and I didn't have a desk to work.
Neat, very clean and tidy. Helpful staff.
Occupant of adjoining room talking not loudly but enough to keep me awake fro 3.30-4.40am
Staff was very helpful, breakfast was good
The owner of the Devon View could not have been more helpful or accommodating, she offered good advice on local attractions and made the stay very pleasant.
There is traffic outside but that's not their fault and it didn't disrupt my sleep
Access to city, university and beach.
There was some noise early on from the kitchen below but for one night that's not a problem.
Nice staff and great breakfast.
30 min walk from town centre but it's okay
great value for money, friendly and helpful staff, clean and well run guest house, fanastic breakfast
Great view of the sea from on little bay window!
Pleasant room overlooking bay and all clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast room and good English breakfast.
The busy road in front of the hotel was rather noisy. I didn't like the numerous notices detailing all the rules and regulations - I realise some guests are irresponsible and of course they have to be dealt with but I do think the vast majority of guests are decent and possibly, like me, are offended by all the instructions and threat of fines for non-observance of the rules.
Was very happy with my stay at this guesthouse then room was lovely....
he treated us like human beings
It seemed that only cleaning staff were on duty. Saw two people waiting outside, trying to get in - no answer at door and no one picking up phone Room depressing
