kept service going over holiday
Good location cheep and cheerful.
Had it not been for a weekend visit when on street parking was free we would have been stuck with what to do with the car.Breakfast was plentiful but luke walm. The carpet down to the basement where our room was, needed replacing.
off street parking a bonus takes all pressure off location ideal just a short bus ride from city centre ,plenty pubs and restaraunts in close proximity ,ideal for us.
Unable to turn heating down,or open window due to traffic.
Was put in a room that had two water units in them and they switched off and on all night got little / no sleep complained to staff have been totally ignored on two occasions will not be staying there again and will recommend others to do the same
Within walking distance to all things going on !!!!
The only thing that I can say is should you be in a room that faces the road !!!! It needs an up grade to its double glazing !!!! You simply hear all the noise from outside... you might as well have no windows in !!! In short ask for a room at the back
The hotel was great to stay in, close to everything we needed. Good value for money.
The Hotel needs a makeover looking a bit dated.
Given a disabled room. Shower head had to be held up. Corridors were freezing. Staff were average at best.
Comfortable beds, good breakfast, excellent location near Kelvingrove Park, Gallery and the university
Cost!! Very cheap
Bathroom didn't have shower gel or soap
Friendly staff who were very helpful. Nice breakfast and large bedroom
Room was cold as it has high ceilings
staff are brilliant. Hotel is warm and clean. Can't fault it.
Excellent location. Good value for money. Bed comfortable with fresh linen. Excellent breakfast.
Disappointing entrance into the hotel. Slabs a bit wobbly, looks like would need some refurbishing in general. The £50 asked at check in (warranty for not damaging the room) makes you feel that either they don't trust you or that they have had incidents and I was a bit worried about the safety. But all was fine. The parking is in the back of the hotel, very dodgy area , but the car was right underneath our window and we had no problems at all. Just the first impression was a bit scary... But then, the parking is free which is very good for Glasgow.
staff food room bed convenient position on bus route
not much - slightly tight carpark at rear
Great to have access to private parking area. Room was lovely and breakfast fabulous.
Having to pay £50 on standby incase damage is done to your room. But we were told this is now standard in Glasgow due to some rowdy guests in hotels causing chaos.
was on 10 min where i was going for our night out bedding was clean we never stayed for breakfast but smelt good
the whole hotel coud do with clean not major when we got to our room had to fight with door lock every time room look nice but the were light hanging down in bed room and bath there were mould on tiles round bath there were no slip mat in bath or hand rail floor tiles where needing fixed to
they charge £50 deposit. when i ask why? Robin says huge room for small rate. so what. i dont make the room rate you do
A bit dingy on the stairs etc, could do with a refurb I think...
It was clean and all I needed was there. The staff were helpful and friendly.
Very clean. Lovely comfortable bed. Great location for SSE Hydro. There is a bus stop practically outside the door going to the airport terminal. Close to restaurants
Tiny tv on a huge wall. Doors banging. Very limited parking facilities. Had to wait at buffet whilst they cooked breakfast (although we did only go in at 8.40am)
Not a lot
Staff were rude and arrogant. Charged £50.00 deposit in case of damage to room, offered cash for this but we were told in a very abrupt manner " no cash, must be credit card or no go to room". Unfortunately we had already paid in full for room otherwise we would not have stayed. Needless to say we won't be back to this place.
Clean, spacious room Good variety of options for breakfast (including cooked breakfast & porridge)
Room faced the main road and was a bit noisy. Not great for light sleepers. But was only there one night.
lovely hotel, friendly staff, free wifi. Convenient location,10 mins from city centre
Location and car parking , breakfast staff really nice and welcoming
They take £50 as a deposit for breakages and then call it incidentals in the small print. When asked about cancelling the receptionist informed me that it would be done after 11am. I wouldn't have minded if it was a top quality hotel the rooms are cobbled together it would be difficult to see what was and was not broken.
That I couldn't un plug the bath after using it
