Carolyn was a very friendly host who made me feel welcome immediately. The single room I had was a good size, clean and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was excellent too. Nothing.

We enjoyed our stay very much and was given the best room with no extra cost because the B&B was not very busy which was really nice . The dressing table could benefit from an extra light because once dark outside the room at that end is not well lit. I am a contact lenses user and light is needed for this job.

Devonia is well situated on the seafront at Eastbourne, right opposite the Redoubt Fortress and 2 minutes from the beach. Also not too far from the pier and main shopping area. The owner, Carolyn Jane, is very friendly and happy to provide information on the local attractions. The B&B was quiet at night during our stay, and the breakfast was always very tasty. Although our room was facing the main road, the double glazing meant that we were not disturbed by passing cars. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the blinds on the windows in the room were not very effective in blocking out the daylight, so I woke up a few times in the early morning due to how light the room was.

Everything about Devonia was just lovely. The room was big, very comfortable and very clean. Food was excellent and the hosts were very friendly. It is free parking outside too. There wasn't anything to dislike.

Clean,comfortable and well situated away from the bustle of the main promenade but on a bus run should anyone require transport, although a pleasant walk to the pier,bandstand and shops. Hosts friendly and knowledgeable of theatres,eating out etc..and very willing to please. You only have to ask.

Extremely friendly couple running Devonia. Very organised and made the weekend most enjoyable. Lovely breakfast too. Cooked to order. Nothing seemed too much trouble for Caroline. Room clean and extremely comfortable too. Loved the decoration of the place too.

Very comfortable room with good facilities in a prime but quiet position. The owner greeted us in a most friendly manner and that continue until we left. Also on the owners advice we used our bus passes to our great advantage.So much so we left the car in the car park at the rear of the premises throughout the holiday. The food was well cooked and nicely presented. Nothing ideal for our purposes. It did what it said on the tin.
