Quality at excellent rates. Happy and respectful staff ensured that our stay met all our requirements. A well priced evening meal was taken in the tranquil ambience of the bar. The breakfast was unquestionably superb and terrific value. Book with confidence.
No negatives from us.
Ambience in bar restaurant wonderful - especially with the place being dog - friendly. Had I known they were allowed in the bar I would have taken my dog. Staff were all first class especially important as I was lone female traveller. Food also very good. I had the pan fried duck breast off the specials menu. Very pleasant overnight stay. Jacuzzu bath a nice surprise.
Bar, Dining Area comfortable and food very good
Bedroom. Small double. So small could hardly get between bed and walls. No clothes hanging facilities except 4 hooks on back of door. Bathroom tiny, smallest hand basin we have ever seen. Space between toilet and shower so small no room for toilet roll holder. Complained to management and were given. a reduction in price but did not make up for ruining our stay.
Staff were very friendly especially Katie, she went out of her way to accommodate us with a table in pub for us to have food and also just her general chit chat and ambience around the place.
I would say food was over priced, if you didn't want steak there wasn't an awful lot you could choose off the menu - as in 'pub grub". I read reviews that it was a grillhouse, if this was the case I would of expected a better selection. We stayed first night for a steak - £19.95 for a sirloin - and this was cheapest - was nice but nothing special. Also we paid £160 for a 2 nts stay - I feel that breakfast should have been included in this price not extra at £5 per person per day, If meals had of been cheaper, we would of stayed there to eat on 2nd night instead we went into skipton. I think if you lowered your prices and had more selection of food you would get more people in. Considering it was beginning of the month and people had been paid, it was so quiet. Fri 3rd oct - we were the only ones left in bar at 10.30 and sat was worse, I've never seen a bar so quiet on a sat - we again were the only ones in from about 21.45pm, so we went to bed early because there was no atmosphere
The staff were excellent
Dog made so welcome and allowed in bar while I had my excellent meal. And jacuzzi was a nice bonus
The pub is comfortable, the staff are very friendly and the food was very good.
Clean White sheets and towels.
Thought the food and drink was on the pricey side.
Very clean, well furnished bedroom with full Freeview TV and whirlpool bathtub. Very tasty food and local 'Cracoe' ale
Food and real ale.
