Nice room, clean and tidy, warm welcome.
Connected to wi-fi but couldn't actually get on line.
The room 16 is to avoid when anyone in 15. We had walking and talking all night long and could not sleep.
Comfortable room and bed
Breakfast wasn't very nice and the chair covers in the dining room were very dirty
Close to family in Crowthorne
Matress on double bed very poor condition, needs new one
The hotel was so noisy with staff in morning preparing breakfast
Room and ensuite very clean.Staff very pleasant and helpful. Will stay again!
Toilet seat was stained with toilet cleaner.
Nice comfy bed.
Heating not good for the time of year (Christmas) and could not be adjusted in the room. Would have liked doors on wardrobe. The bar was very impersonal so didn't spend as much time in it as would have liked. Didn't get towels changed in the 5 days we spent there, would have been changed on 3rd day but we needed the room to shower and change to go out this was at 4pm and the room hadn't been cleaned on asking why was told other rooms had to be done first and would do ours a 6pm! so told them not to bother.
The room was a good size but access was via a garden walk, luckily it was dry! The decor was tired but more than a few cobwebs! Very warm and cosy with good bathroom. Sound proofing would be a very good addition, every move from the room above was heard also the neighbours in the next room.
Location very near to my brother's house where I went to spend Christmas
I didn't like the fact that I was charged £195 for a one night stay in a modest hotel with a mediocre evening meal and breakfast. I have stayed in much better hotels with better facilities for less. I would not recommend this hotel.
The service given by the staff is excellent. It is in a convenient position for local amenities and not a good base for travel into London. The breakfast is well cooked and adequate.
The shower/bathroom could do with updating.
Room comfortable. Lady who appeared to be the only permanent members of staff, did just about everything. A good basic hotel.
We stayed for three nights. Room was not cleaned on second day. Coffee/Tea not replenished either.
Very welcoming staff.
The decor was a bit tired.
Politeness and helpfulness of staff. Comfortable room.
Helpfulness and friendliness of staff Location
Bed-coverings short for someone 6'2", so not easy to get warm Breakfast room messy and depleted on arrival but cleared up and replenished fairly quickly
Radiator too hot with bed beside, had to move bed away from radiator. Have stayed previously and satisfied, would not want same room again
Very noisy as building work was being done next door At breakfast went to pour milk on cereal and it came out of jug in lumps. Management apologised and assured us that the milk was changed every two days
For the money the room was good and the breakfast was most enjoyable
It was all ok
Convenient . provided bare minimum essentials
We have stayed here for several years time to redecorate. Breakfast service pretty average had to find staff for some tea . Food was good.
fire alarm went off at 5 am
Breakfast Clean linen Free wi fi
Dowdy decoration. No welcome pack or any info in room about hotel or area. Elderly Lcd TV with extremely narrow viewing angle so unwatchable unless one person directly in front. Tried to charge extra for breakfast even though I asked if it was included in room rate, language problem or just to busy to digest my question. Radiator right next to one of the twin beds (I mean right up tight,) only heated the bed. Maybe not hotels problem but kept awake by loud talking by a herd of elephants upstairs at 01.00 am!! I think thats enough!
Slightly limited food choice.
Nice hotel, friendly staff, restaurants and pubs only a few minutes-walk away.
Mattress has been too soft and bathroom wasn't very clean.
The staff were very helpful but.....
..... The single room is an incredibly hot box room where your elbows will touch the sides of the shower and the only place to hang anything means having to lean over a table and then reach over and behind a TV. Totally unacceptable especially considering the price. Woken by a delivery van staring up which had been parked on the grounds outside my window all night. I can only think the room sits above a boiler making it very hot even with all of the windows open.
staff used my name when they saw me.
Screws falling out by door handles. Underfloor heating in bathroom made the room too hot
Nice place, interesting location, tidy and the staff are very pleasant without being overfamiliar.
I thought breakfast was included in the booking (unless it was full English) and the sheet didn't fit the bed properly which meant I had to keep adjusting it!
