Staff were very helpful. My room was a good size, warm, very clean and comfortably furnished. The bar meal menu is understandably limited in range. However, I would have welcomed a vegetarian option and a side dish of cooked, fresh vegetables (there only appeared to be salad available on the two nights I dined).

I went to sort out the arrangements for my mothers funeral, my father is in a local hospital and my sister who lives locally was unable to provide accommodation. The house where my parents live as just a short walk from the hotel. It was all arranged at very short notice , however all the staff were very helpfum and the room was excellent.

Really friendly staff and immaculately clean hotel. Bed was really comfortable and clean. Breakfast was quality ingredients and well cooked. Tv channels lacked bbc programmes and with some of the channels, the digital signal was intermittent.

Well presented, good service. Welcoming staff, slightly dated in appearance, however that does add to its charm.

I thought the staff were polite but unobtrusive. I was pleased to be able to park my van in the large car park and have a short stroll to the town centre. The room was nice and clean and, although small, was ideal for a solo traveller. The ensuite was clean and breakfast was good. I would definitely stay again if in the area.

A friendly family style hotel, ideal location for conferences at Wellington College. A converted house rather than purpose built. Off Road parking. Bar was ok. Breakfast which was included in the price was excellent. Walls are paper thin. Toilet fans run on for ages and are very noisy. Hence if your unlooky enough to end up in a room next to someone who uses the toitet a lot in the night, goes to sleep late then gets up early your not going to get much sleep, I had a dreadfull nights sleep.

Very helpful staff. Lovely new, clean bathrooms and a great price. Breakfast was good, hot and freshly cooked with good quality ingredients. Would definitely stay again. It was a bit hot, but I think that's because we were up on top floor and heat rises. But we had the window open all night and it wasn't noisy at all.

Staff very friendly - helpful with the Internet problem (see below). Breakfasts very good. All in all a pleasurable experience. Had significant problems connecting to the Internet. This seems to be a problem that needs investigating.

We have never experienced such high Customer Service anywhere else in the world. To accomodate our needs they even changed the room from a double to a twin! Excellant location, great food and very good value. Without doubt the people running this hotel have customer service at the top of their list! If you want a clean, quiet, economical and friendly place to stay, this is it!

Although at Dial House only one evening, we were met with a friendly welcome and shown to our room which was a very clean double with separate toilet and shower facility. Breakfast was extremely nice and served promptly. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for both value, friendly service and cleanliness. Im not sure when the dining room, bar and lounge area, and hall stairs and landing were originally decorated but it is perhaps time for some redecoration which was rather tired.

Lovely view over the garden at back! Comfortable and clean room and very good breakfast. Food in the evening wasn't great. Salad with curry??!! Waited quite a while for breakfast - helped myself to coffee as no-one around to serve or take order for breakfast - suspect they were short-staffed.

Good location some half mile from village centre - easy walk. Quiet hotel and quiet location. Ample car parking. Room rather small and could benefit from refreshing. Bathroom small but adequate.
