Cwmbach Cottages are one of the quietest places to stay, on a hillside overlooking Neath and surrounded by mature woodland, just half a mile above the village of Cadoxton.

The Mirador is a truly unique guest house with cosmopolitan décor, each room portraying themes such as Roman, Egyptian or Oriental. Central Swansea can be reached in 20 minutes on foot.
Score from 159 reviews Wonderful
Incredibly friendly and helpful staff- Freshly decorated modern room and bathroom
Room not ready when I arrived but it really wasn't an issue. Slightly chaotic feel but all part of its homely charm.
all, very friendly staff, fab service
breakfast...beans and tomatoes not a good mix, would of been nice to be given a choice on what I wanted for breakfast
staff and my stay
from the time we got there, to the time we left, we was treated as old friends. Outstanding servers, and lovely people..can't wait to go back for my birthday...
Very friendly and welcoming. Comfy bed, best sleep I've had in a long time.
The location is ideal set right in the middle of Pontardawe. The staff are very friendly and I am always made to feel welcome.
There is a lack of attention to detail. Missing items in the bathroom e.g toothbrush mug and even soap once. The bed was extremely uncomfortable resulting in a very poor nights sleep.
Location; nice interested welcome; a basic and very inexpensive pub menu from 6.00pm.; a well-laid out d.i.y. tray for tea/coffee
Some signs of stress after a dispute/ domestic crisis among owner(s); quite a lot of things in the room needed fixing, light bulbs etc., no chair (even a folding one); no obvious way to make heated towel rail work; floor covering seemed grubby
Good bedroom and bathroom, good food and drink at reasonable prices, staff eager to please and worth a special mention.
Parking available but not a large car park
Food/accommodation very good Katherine is an excellent hostess made us feel very welcome on our move to wales
The staff were friendly, and polite. I saw the place as a bit of a Fawlty Towers though.
No menu for breakfast. It was assumed that I would want a big cooked breakfast, without giving me a choice. And when I went down for breakfast no one was about and dining room locked up, so I had to keep going downstairs every 10- 15mins to see if anyone was up to see to me. There was a Karaoke night and it seemed like everyone was in my room singing an cheering, it was very loud and music booming, as my room must have been directly above the party going on. Its not a bad place, and I enjoyed my stay. But I feel it needs some improvements in cleaning of rooms, and in putting some structure in place for breakfast times and the needs of their customers. There was also a safety hazard when I had to be careful not to trip up over the dogs toys which were spread around the landing and stairs
not a lot
kept awake all night from a nearby nightclub, was 3 in the morning before it stopped. bed was broken, no fan, chef for breakfast was ill so told £5 off per room for 2 people not very good, the chef was there to cook lunch though ha ha. l would not go there again.
Food very good
Staff took an hour to get room ready. Went to dinner at 8.10 p.m. to be told there was nothing on the menu. Went to breakfast at 7.20 a.m. the next day and the whole place was shut and locked up!!
The nicest and most obliging hosts you could ever hope to meet! I was travelling with my elderly parents and they made their stay a wonderful experience. Easy access for them in and out of shower. Lovely food - dinner and breakfast. Easy driving distance down to Swansea. Spacious parking area.
I was in Room 5 (single room) and the traffic noise kept me awake as I was close to an intersection. In winter with the windows shut it would probably be fine, and the positive features more than compensated for it.
Excellent breakfast. Owners good, friendly and approachable
Wi-Fi not working (but that was BTs fault.) Being fixed as we left.
Go to Ponty twice a year to visit my sister. Had an overnight stay in the Dillwyn and was made most welcome as usual. Bedroom was clean and comfortable and breakfast was good.
A few details that really need attention. There were no glasses in the bathroom, no bathmat provided and there is nowhere to hang towels either. Just silly little things that would give the Dillwyn an excellent score.
made welcome, nice people ,very good breakfast ,would use it again.
Very clean comfortable rooms and friendly, chatty staff. Hearty breakfast.
Good food. Strong Wifi
We always have a great stay when we go back to ponty to visit family, the Dillwyn is faultless!!!
we liked the friendly welcome and staff. the food was good and the rooms comfortable
it was all good
Very friendly staff. Good breakfasts.
No aerial lead for the TV. Water coming through roof on the landing.
Lovely warm comfy bed, good nights sleep followed by a great cooked breakfast, staff very friendly. Made to feel very welcome.
