Dinham Hall Hotel  

Central location in town. Easy access to shops/market/castle. Comfortable with reasonable breakfast.

In garden lodge with no wifi, despite being told there was. Some noise from people above. Moving to main building for breakfast a little problematic in inclement weather.

Excellent location near castle in a very beautiful town. Comfortable room and good breakfast. Don't miss the Green Cafe down near Dinham Bridge for views and food during the day.

There is no lift.

Dinham Hall is in a beautiful setting close to Ludlow castle and grounds. It is an historic house with character and grace. The staff are welcoming and the food gourmet. It is a place for those who want quality and are prepared to pay accordingly.

The location next to Ludlow castle is excellent.

No wifi and breakfast choice too limited for the amount we paid.

Central location for town Breakfast

Excellent stay, would have liked it to be longer. Very helpful staff, superb location in the centre of town, decoration stylish and appropriate to the age of the house (the red perhaps a little violent in the hall). Our room had a lovely view of the grounds and town with a spacious, yet comfortable feel. Breakfast was of a good standard. Would stay again.

Floors somewhat creaky which may prove troublesome on a ful night where occupants have differing sleep patterns. Mayday fair on centre of town was noisy and made access difficult, but not the fault of the hotel.

The building and staff

It is a strange hotel, the grounds, building fixtures and fittings are very good and the location is excellent, but small things like no biscuits in the biscuit tin, dust on banisters, dated bathroom, unmanned bar just slightly take the edge off what should be an excellent experience.

Room Sydney chair at dressing table far too low so unsuitable for purpose. also second chair required in bedroom area.

The staff were very friendly and the location was fantastic. The room was spotless and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty with a good selection.

Welcoming, friendly, excellent food (strongly recommend eating in the restaurant), cosy sitting room with fire, very nice home baked cakes and biscuits served with the tea and coffee during day. Lovely 18th century building (hence lack of lift). Very close to centre of town so convenient, but also quiet.

Were some problems with heating that evening in our bedroom (but the manager recompensed us by reducing our bill a little, and we were given fan heater which was fine). Mattress rather hard for us, but could have been okay for others. Quite noisy plumbing on third floor. No lift.

We liked very much our suite room, it was good size of room plus small tea/coffee room (I wish if all other hotels could have such a very nice addition for their hotel rooms indeed), our room and bathroom were clean and cosy, bed was comfortable. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel's location is very convenient place very close to the Ludlow Castle, Flea/Antique Market, town centre, about 5 minutes walking distance to river Teme.

I think parking place is a bit small, hotel's prices could be cheaper.

Location, room was well equipped and comfortable. Staff friendly and polite. Breakfast more than adequate and lots of choice. Easy reach of all things we wanted to see and do

The only critisim was we were not told we would be in the cottage attached to hotel, had struggled to take cases into hotel and then had to struggle to take back out again to cottage. Would have been nice to have been asked on booking.

There was no room reduction for single occupancy - not even a breakfast allowance the breakfast service was extremely slow on the first morning (Monday) - despite being very few people in breakfast room the waiter had other priorities. There was no chair to enable my mother to sit in her room apart from on the bed. The room was priced the same as a much larger double that some relations where staying in on a shared occupancy basis

Central position. Quiet but convenient to town. Friendly staff. Comfortable and not horribly modern. Please don't change it.

Plumbing terrible bath painfully slow to fill, shower virtually no pressure either too hot or too cold, this is really not good enough for sduch a hotel anfd really lets down an excellent experience.

Pleasant setting next to the Castle, nice breakfast.

Very cold hotel and the fire remained unlit in the lounge, therefore poor customer care.

Lovely location in lovely town. Grand building with great views.

Double room turned out to be a twin with beds pushed together, may as well have been left apart so uncomfortable. Heating was never on once in our winter stay, very cold room. When challenged about it the host basically said we weren't entitled to compensatory discount because it was already on a discount. I would at least expect a comfortably warm room at any cost even with a discount!

I could not find fault with my stay at the dinham hall hotel, I'M A 64yr. old and have travelled all my life

The location was good and the young woman on reception was welcoming.

Our room was cold and we had to use a fan heater to take off the chill.
