“Every member of staff was absolutely fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone was so friendly. 24hr bar service was handy as we had a late night with family and it was great to relax at the hotel at the end of the night. The food was stunning - the sunday carvery was out of this world. It was a truly memorable trip and we will definitely be returning soon.”

A nice comfortable room which was quiet. Hotel was hosting the evening event which made it very convenient. Unfortunately lack of time prevented me taking advantage of the leisure facilities The room available on arrival did not match the one that I booked, ie we were allocated a twin room when my booking request was for a double. I was told that the bllking system online doesn't clarify this type of request ? ? Footnote - i would expect a hotel in the heart of Wales to be flying a Welsh flag outside the hotel. There was a small flag - amongst others - at the entrance but not outside the hotel itself

Excellent value for money, top class leisure and gym facilities. Attentive caring staff. Could do with a more co-ordinated approach to their interior design in the main hotel.

The staff were very helpful but a little stretched at times during check in of a large number of groups attending an evening party. Once the evening staff came on things did improve and were always ready to please. The party was very well organised, and again the staff excellent. The after party in the lounge bar with live entertainment was incredible with restaurant diners and weekenders thouroughly enjoying themselves in a relaxed freindly atmosphere. Certainly a return choice when next in the area. As with a number of hotels, the rooms are somewhat tired and in need of an ipgrade, although in these finacial times it could be a while yet, Despite being tired, the room was clean and reasonably comfortable.

The room was huge and really comfortable. The leisure facilities were great as well. The room was way too hot and also with a thick duvet, it wasa bit too hot for comfort and there was no was of reducing the heat as it seemed to be under floor heating.

It is pet friendly. When a large fuction is taking place I feel guests staying at the hotel should have a seperate area ar the bar to get a drink.

I have written a formal complaint to the hotel after an unsatisfactory one night stay. We were allocated what must be the worst room in the hotel after paying full rate, while others staying there had paid greatly reduced amounts on an offer. There were issues about safety (no key in emergency exit box to open fire escape door), inadequate service and food at breakfast and the furnishings were worn and shabby and twin beds uncomfortable. However, our complaint was dealt with very promptly and professionally and a full refund offered. The hotel looks quite grand from the exterior and perhaps the new part of the hotel is much smarter, but my husband and I were disappointed with our experience.

Close to town centre with free internet access. Was given a room in the Coach House seperate from the main hotel, which initially seemed a good idea as there was a wedding party on and I was working the next day. The single room was very small and I found out the shower did not work the next morning, waited on assistance but no manager or maintence staff were available. Had to move rooms to a slightly better room with a shower that just about worked, and ended up running late with no time for breakfast. Dinner was overpriced in the restaurant. Spoke to manager on check out who apologised for the trouble but offered no compensation or reduction in my bill. Very disappointed overall.
