This historic hotel is the oldest on Sark, situated high in a sun-trapped valley, within easy walking distance of the village and yet isolated amid picturesque and secluded surroundings.
Once a 16th century feudal farm longhouse, the estate includes many acres of medieval hand-terraced gardens, fields, cliff paths overlooking the sea, the densely wooded Dixcart Valley and the sheltered Bay of Dixcart.
Family owned and managed, Dixcart is recommended by the AA and RAC and has won Les Routiers' Gold Key Award for 3 consecutive years.
There are 3 comfortable lounges, a residents' bar and ancient fire places to warm the old hand crafted stone work. The spacious, candlelit dining room extension overlooks the gardens. Local produce is used wherever possible. A second bar, Hugo's, serves wines, bottled beers, teas and coffees. Adults can choose to eat outside, whilst children can eat or play in Captain Pugwash's Snug.
Breakfast is served from 08:00 until 10:00.
Lunch is served from 12:00 until 14:30.
Dinner is served from 18:00 until 21:30.
Price of Full English Breakfast (if not included in Price of Room): 5 GBP.
