Restaurant had nice varied menu but a bit pricey
Small, cold feeling rooms, and no hot water first nights stay
Pleasant stay, staff very welcoming. Close to Alton towers. Fab stay, rooms cleans, comfortable night sleep, good choice for breakfast.
Location was excellent for Alton Towers. Excellent choices for breakfast in the morning.
Evening meal - expensive for a very average steak.
Nice rooms, friendly staff, great location for Alton Towers and very kid friendly.
The food was very overpriced for what it was, I wouldn't eat there again.
Expensive for what we got! Room was small.
Food was very poor but staff were very friendly. Bad smell outside room in the hall.
Location & good breakfast.
Chaotic check-in procedure, use of iron but no fuse in it! Could hear quite clearly other guests through room wall. One evening meal poor value for money.
Friendly, helpful & efficient staff. Good food, especially the breakfast. Comfy beds.
it was in a great location plus friendly staff and food was decent..we would go again.
Excellent breakfast. Vast choice
Bathroom needs modernising
Friendly staff, good location, excellent evening meal and breakfast.
Slightly dated room facilities but adequate for our needs and clean.
What can I say.... My girlfriend and I stayed at the D&P for her birthday weekend excursion to Alton Towers. It had everything we needed, an ample sized comfortable room with en suite, a welcome pack in the room which told us everything we needed to know and the restaurant food was above expectations! It was only 6 miles from Alton Towers and the route direct so all in all a wonderful weekend! And a big thank you to the all the staff who made you feel welcome! Thank you! Martin and Alex
As we both love our films the rental DVD collection was a little short :)
Breakfast was very good.. Bar menu ok...but Al a Carte menu in evening was very good, although a little pricey.
Rooms were not attached to hotel, were in grounds..not very bright inside. Considering it was August they were not very warm..felt a bit eerie at times.
My family had a wonderful stay here, very child friendly and my three young girls enjoyed the children's play area's and toy room. We will stay again, highly recommended.
Like the setting it was lovely enjoy the hole experience
Just a wee bit expensive but to bad
Very friendly staff and attentive to all your needs. Biggest breakfast selection ever. Lovely evening menu although pricey, served with fresh vegetables. Wine also a bit on the high side. So nice to be able to park our car beside our accommodation and in our own Car Port. Our Old English Sheepdog was made very welcome.
My steak was so tough, I did complain and the waiter said he would tell the Chef but nothing more was said and we paid the full price. I was not expecting a reduction but feel it should have been given. NOTE: I've never ever complained about my food in any restaurant before. Our OES finished off my steak in our room!
Close to Alton towers. Room was clean
Food was poor, tasteless. And sausages for breakfast undercooked and I specifically asked if the chocolate cheesecake contained nuts and was told no, we were served a snickers cheesecake so my son with peanut allergy was poorly all night. Spoilt our evening. Think there must be other places to stay which would be better value for money.
Packed lunch contained off cupcakes. Left a terrible taste in our mouths the whole afternoon even with just a small nibble!
Staff friendly location nice
Receptionist being rung up by her boss,Mary, and reduced to tears as we waited to check in -very unprofessional !! Nails sticking up on rotting wooden benches in garden, stench of sewage in garden, dirty room ,,mattress really lumpy and uncomfortable, flies over open pots of jam & chocolate spread at breakfast & around tables while eating ,high price for food ,wouldnt go back if you paid me !!!
The food was delicious. Choice for breakfast was great.
We stayed in a family suite. Very dated in need of upgrade. Service very slow for dinner.
Friendly atmosphere very clean
The Inn was good location for Alton Towers which is why we chose it. The style of the rooms is good. Good food and good selection for breakfast. Easy parking
The room was not clean. The bathroom floor had nail clippings on it and hair in the bath. After returning from our day at Alton Towers our sofa had been replaced with a single bed which we did not request and which we found a bit strange. Staff could have been a bit more helpful
Large, comfy room, with kitchen for tea making facilities. Huge outdoor space with park and play area. Kids loved the chickens and neighbouring cows. Breakfast was amazing - largest selection of cereals I've seen! Followed by top cooked breakfast. I stayed here with my 3 special needs children and the staff couldn't have been more friendly - even when I nearly set alight to their toaster!
Friendly. Family room ideal. Play area for kids. Breakfast selection good.
Food could be cold. In particular veggies and English breakfasts.
