Food choice is limited, staff are ok but not overly helpful, the bar is crowded with goods for sale. Woken at 5am by a cockerill
Food was excellent (if a little pricey). Fabulous breakfast buffet. Staff very attentive and helpful. Good quality beds and bedding. Very quiet.
Asked for a cot on booking, had no cot. Towels had stains on them View was lovely but couldn't see through the windows as the glass was blown Cold and a little damp Bathroom needs updating
dog friendly and they would look after dog during the day.
access from road was difficult
Full English breakfast Staff friendliness
Hot water supply to our unit very poor. Shower stopped running when toilet flushed
lovely menu with delicious food room very comfortable ideal really all the staff were very helpful and kind.
Friendly staff, room and facilities fine, great venue for Alton towers, good meals , good breakfast. play area super for young kids , quiet
things and staff getting a little tired e.g. play area, could tell it was getting to the end of the Alton Towers season
Car next to room.Bath in bathroom.
Small TV up on wall.
the food was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms were good and clean
cockerel waking us up early
Location to Alton Towers & facilities available for children.
Decoration in dining room could do with refreshing.
friendly scottish reception lady. very roomy suite. helpful with gluten-free dietary requirements.
pair of pants found in bedside drawer. all beds wobbly due to fittings missing. light bulbs not working. very bizarre place with people hanging around looking suspicious in the grounds - possibly off-duty staff?, teddy bears in reception, broken things everywhere. was not a cheap hotel (we paid £160/night b+b for family of 4) but there were no luxuries, the whole place was tatty, old-fashioned. breakfast was standard - nothing outstanding. outside play area was partly broken, needed a good lick of paint. i don't normally do reviews of places i have stayed at but the dog and partridge was a total disappointment especially for the high price we paid for it - booking.com should seriously consider removing it from their website as is not a good future advert for them.
Great food great staff
Thought we would be staying in nice country pub only to be led round the back to what can only be described as a wood clad hut which I have better in my yard at home. Very misleading photos on website
The hot tub was a pleasant suprise
Restaurant had nice varied menu but a bit pricey
Small, cold feeling rooms, and no hot water first nights stay
Pleasant stay, staff very welcoming. Close to Alton towers. Fab stay, rooms cleans, comfortable night sleep, good choice for breakfast.
Location was excellent for Alton Towers. Excellent choices for breakfast in the morning.
Evening meal - expensive for a very average steak.
Nice rooms, friendly staff, great location for Alton Towers and very kid friendly.
The food was very overpriced for what it was, I wouldn't eat there again.
Expensive for what we got! Room was small.
Food was very poor but staff were very friendly. Bad smell outside room in the hall.
The original building has a lovely atmosphere. The room was spotlessly clean.
When we first went into our room we had some reservations due to the style of buildings (very new and quite ugly style). The room though was spotlessly clean. We then tried the double bed, which was as hard as a board! The bathroom was nice, but no actual shower, only a hand held one. We had hot water in the evening when my daughter had a shower, but none the next morning! The meals were expensive but we would class them as just OK. Breakfast looked spectacular but was a lot of store bought cakes cut up and some were very stale. We were never asked how our stay was when checking out. Would not rate this highly for the price charged; all the money has been spent on the look rather than the comfort/taste.
Location & good breakfast.
Chaotic check-in procedure, use of iron but no fuse in it! Could hear quite clearly other guests through room wall. One evening meal poor value for money.
location, food and staff
SLEEP, because during the night , next room neighbour doing sexual activity, and the children could hear as well,. the manage ment should try to sort the walls out. It was so loud due to the location of the beds probably, it banged the head board against our wall.
Friendly, helpful & efficient staff. Good food, especially the breakfast. Comfy beds.
it was in a great location plus friendly staff and food was decent..we would go again.
