Very friendly welcome. Freshly cooked breakfast. Rooms spotlessly clean. A very nice place, nothing spectacular, but exactly what it says that is is.

The friendly and helpful attitude of the staff. The room was a little small and cramped, we had to climb over a bed to shut the curtains, and the shower was not very powerful and kept going cold for no reason.

The Dolphin Guesthouse is located close to Peasholm Park, with it's lake and wooded walk. It is also within a short walk from Scarborough's North beach. The staff are friendly and helpful, and our room and communal rooms were clean, tidy and homely. Parking on the road outside is limited to 2 hours, but when you arrive the landlord gives guests a permit. We would definitely stay here again

The landlord was very attentive, both at meal times and in between. He showed interest in my activities and was helpful in providing useful local and background information. The atmosphere was relaxed and informal but professional at all times. I have breathing problems and asked for a room with as few steps as possible. Even though the guesthouse has no lift and would not be suitable for wheelchair users or those who cannot climb stairs at all, I was given the first room at the top of the first flight of stairs which was ideal. Breakfast was basic but cooked to order and served piping hot. The service was well planned and we did not have to wait between courses. The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable.

Isäntä oli erityisen ystävällinen ja avulias. Neuvoi kysymättäkin esim minne kannattaa mennä ja selitti paikkoja kartalta. Aamupala oli hyvä ja runsas englantilainen. Suihku ja wc toimi erittäin hyvin. Sijainti oli melko rauhallinen eikä liian pitkällä keskustasta.
