Bed was comfortable. Location was OK.
Noise from industrial plant outside the room mean I didn't sleep. I was in room 13 and it was hot - with no ventilation other than opening the window. Their were no sockets around the desk that could be used without crawling around under the table
Great location, with easy access to transport links (Underground, Buses, TfL "Boris" Bikes). Apartment well furnished, very comfortable.
Rooms were VERY warm!
We really enjoyed our stay at Dolphin House, great location, easy to access by car but also very close to tube station. Apartment was clean, spacious snd had everything we needed especially as we were travel lib with a 4 week old baby. Thought the milk and chilled water in the fridge was a nice touch. Will definately stay again and will recommend to others!
Location close to Central London was excellent. Certainly worth booking a larger appointment for added space and was very comfortable. Quiet area for London with good pub food close by as well as grocery stores for food shopping.
Reception staff were reasonably efficient but not really interested in helping much. Only one computer for guests who did not have their own and the printer was not working all the time we were there. GBP10 per day for wi-fi access in room is pretty expensive. Very limited kitchen equipment and no toaster - this did not match the good quality of the remainder of the apartment.
Fitness centre/pool were a great bonus. Also having a small shopping arcade was impressive.
Having to pay for wifi
Spacious rooms, good facilities.
Room was rather warm. Beneficial to have an air conditioning unit
Hypnos mattress. Relatively spacious bedroom and lounge Plenty storage room for clothes etc. Decor pleasant.
Noise from school playground sports areas - just across the road. No air con and poor kitchen facilities - 2 rings, no teapot and frying pans which were not non-stick. Small bathroom with those awful material shower curtains.
Location is great, few minutes from Tube, very pleasant area, plenty of taxis, easy to get around London. Lovely staff, very clean, well kept, comfortable room with plenty of plugs, a hairdryer, glasses and other good bits! Restaurant, gym, pool and shops all on site!
Very little, would be nice if the gardens were lit at night, especially with the good little restaurant there, on a hot summer's evening it would have been nice to sit outside, but that is just a thought, not a criticism. I'd stay again for sure and I am very fussy!
Dolphin House is an oasis in the middle of London! The location is excellent. It is a 2 minute walk from the Pimlico underground station, so easy access to everything. However the complex is completely quiet and peaceful, more like being in a nice suburb. No sirens or street noise or crowds on the street. The room was great (comfy king bed, nice bathroom, room-darkening curtains) and the kitchenette allowed us to cook each day, offsetting the high cost of staying in London.
Just 20-25 minutes walk to Buck Palace, or along Embankment to Parliament/Westminster Abbey. 5 min walk to Pimlico tube station. Fantastic location. Apartments very good: when you book, be aware not all have kitchens. Great old building; amazing central courtyard. Totally recommended.
External noise day and night but double glazing helps. Otherwise all good.
One of the best check in and check out experiences as staff were wonderful Apartment facilities with on site restaurant, coffee shop pool etc. as a frequent traveller who is fed up of small hotel rooms this offered me the best of both worlds
Two ring cooker limits your cooking abilities
We have stayed at Dolphin House for years , we love the whole package, clean helpful staff, lovely atmosphere
We did not like the fact that we had to leave
Location was excellent for evening and the room upgrade to a suite was gratefully accepted. The rooms were well appointed and extremely comfortable, the large bathroom was superb.
Unusually warm night made the bedroom slightly uncomfortable as the rooms were not air conditioned. Open windows meant a noisy London night
The room was way too hot
The location, not noisy , calm & quiet but close enough to the center to be entertained. Great gym and my room was spacious.
A little bit of peace in London. Great flat with all amenities. Small arcade with shops. Pool and spa. Easy walk to tube station. Feels like home rather than a hotel
Position, size of rooms and comfortable beds
Inability to pre-book early check in
My wife and me were there on our honeymoon.the room was very tidy and cleaned every day.had a little kitchen in it which was great etc for snacks.staff were very friendly and helpful would deffo recommend to anyone we will stay there again.
If I had any complaint it would be outside was having some work done and had a big skip outside not hotels fault though.and the TV in the room only had BBC 1 and 2 working but oh well we were not too bothered about that
Everything, pics online are very deceiving
Grounds and apartment were lovely, as were the staff particularly the ladies that served breakfast.
The lack of air-con it was very warm particularly at night and far too noisy to have the windows open.
Brilliant price brilliant apartment. Would stay there again
Great place, everything you need in a great part of London
Bed was a bit hard, car park should be free
Location, kitchenette, bathroom, lovely decor
Room was very warm but the room was on the ground floor overlooking the street with sash windows so didn't feel very safe leaving them open. In future I would just ask for a room overlooking the court yard
Well maintained 1930s building enclosing peaceful courtyard garden, of grand scale - an entire city block. Upgrade to 2 bedroom suite was enjoyed. One bathroom was the size of the adjacent bedroom. Furniture, fittings and finishes are very restrained and plain which complements the 1930s aesthetic perfectly. The overall effect is cleverly high-end by virtue of the enormous quantity of space we got for a very reasonable last-minute price.
Firstly, Dolphin House is a huge apartment complex, the majority seem to be permanent rental residences; many entry doors wit their lifts and stairs off the central courtyard, the apartment hotel suites amongst them. When I checked in, the staff wished to escort me to the correct entry and lift, but I needed to wait for my friend to arrive. I was given very vague instructions how to find my suite. On trying to do so, there was no signage and we got lost. We returned to the lobby and got escorted. The staff's language skills to explain simple directions was poor. Their demeanour was a little strict or institutional, and not welcoming. They seemed a little unhappy in their job. Lacklustre customer service is still rife in the UK, and it's sad that business owners remain unaware how this lowers reputation and reduces profitability. Secondly, the TV in the suite drawing room seemed very basic, and with no instruction manual visible how to operate it. I only could access basic broadcast channels only. We were there for an evening of relaxation and partying; I expected to find some cable or Sky TV so we could choose background music. This option is common even in budget inn bedrooms; this is a strange oversight by those who choose what's provided in Dolphin Square.
