Don't always want to eat early so this type of booking was great for us as didn't feel had wasted money on something didn't want. Room was good clean and comfy and nice pool
the price of the drinks
Check-in service was efficient and friendly as was the service in the restaurant. Chose the special of the day, which was a roast pork dinner, and which I thoroughly enjoyed. Slept very well too!
On a long journey North it would be difficult to find a better stop for a one night stop. Restaurant very good.
Swiming pool Resturant Location
Poor room lighting
The bed was fantastic and we had a brilliant nights sleep. The breakfast was great
I thought the room could be cleaner, there was tea splashes by the tea and coffee facilities. The window was black by the catches. The room was quite dark, could do with more natural light
Location, staff, very good food, low price
Popular for weddings, so can be a little noisy.
Hotel staff were extremely helpful! We took our springer spaniel with us and the grounds of the hotel / warms worth hall were ideal to walk with dog in. I left my daughters laptop behind in the hotel room and the housekeeping staff were really helpful in returning this via courier following our stay. Breakfast provision was excellent with a range of cold / cooked buffet items available and breakfast in room afforded on request.
Older teenagers weren't allowed in gym / sauna areas (not even with an accompanying adult / safe supervision). Yet other holiday inns I have stayed at have allowed sauna / spa access for over 14 year olds. Room air conditioning was not effective -had to open room door (propped open with a chair) and window to cool room down on entry and overnight had to maintain windows fully open.
Staff were friendly and helpful
location very good, easy to find and close to town centre
car park bit weird
Very near the motorway, but no noise. Comfortable rooms and good shower/bathroom People have commented on the price of the breakfast, but we were charged £10 if we bought tokens at the desk. We thought the breakfast was good value at this price - full English but also lots of choice with fresh fruit, pastries, etc.
we had to sign up to the Holiday Inn 'group' to get free access to the hotel wifi
Very convenient location in lovely surroundings. Staff were helpful and friendly and the quality of the accommodation was very good. Would stay here again.
Location, friendly and helpful staff
Room facilities were good and linen was clean, en-suite was clean. Breakfast was excellent
The area behind the net curtain (floor to ceiling windows)still had dead flies. moths etc all the time we were there. Large Towel not replaced, so only one towel for shower x 2 people. The pool in the fitness centre was slimy and needed a thorough clean. Staff in the bar area rarely picked up rubbish off the floor, late evening serviettes etc from earlier customers still on the floor
Room was clean and comfortable with added extras such as a fan hidden in the wardrobe
Prices at the bar were very high and not enough toiletries available in the room
Facilities and parking
Staff attitude at the reception
Location and room.
It's is 2014 & Hotles like this are still charging for WIFI? Seriously....
My room was very comfortable, well equipped & clean. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. All in all it's a lovely place to stay.
On the day I stayed it was boing hot weather. Due to being almost a full wall of window the room was very hot! I couldn't find any instructions on how to operate the air conditioning.
Some staff very friendly and helpful. Swimming pool was lovely and much needed with the heat.
The hotel has no air conditioning and the room was so hot that it was impossible to stay in the room for any length of time. One member of staff at reception couldn't care less when asked if there was something they could do to cool the room down. Was told that it's just the way it is and a lot of others complained about the heat too.
the bedroom was really nice pub and the scenery
the bathroom needs to be refresh and the towels were not very clean.
Restaurant with good variety of choices and good service. Self serve breakfast was also good.
Disabled parking is some way from the entrance.
Friendly courteous staff Excellent evening meal in restaurant Good choice of breakfast
Air con in our room was not really able to cope with the exceptionally warm and humid evening/night that we were there.
Staff very friendly and the food excellent.
A little pricey.
