Holiday Inn Doncaster A1(M) Jct 36  

The location was very good and the staff warm and friendly. The breakfast was of good standard with plenty of choice and with the holiday Inn voucher a very good price.

The room was fine a little dated but clean. however there was a terrible foisty smell that was very over powering. I would recommend the Holiday Inn to friends but I would advise them to ask not to be put in room 114.

the shower was put in for very small people!

Our stay was extremely enjoyable. All of the staff without exception were extremely helpful and friendly. .

The staff behind reception were not very welcoming. The lady, claiming to be the duty manager, dealt with our check-in and checking out. She had a formal military style about her, did not smile and demanded payment upfront because we had a debit card as opposed to a credit card. When we checked out she asked for payment again?!? We had pointed out that payment was taken off when we checked out , to which she was surprised and said that was the normal process. Clearly we felt a bit victimised and didnt even receive an apology. I will not be back here again if the reception staff continue to be unfriendly.

i liked the friendly atmosphere and warm welcome of the staff and the help they gave me. made it a great day away from hull with my family i dont always see and i would recommend it to anyone,i will be back myself later.

Very pleasent staff and high standard of cleanliness.

Disappointed that on arrival we were allocated 1 double and 2 single rooms when the booking made on 15th July was for 3 double rooms but made the best of it.Our main upset however was being awakened at approx. 5 am by the fire alarm which turned out to be a false alarm and having to vacate the hotel until sorted. We understand this was unfortunate and safety regulations have to be implemented but on enquiring the next morming if we would receive any refund for a broken nights sleep were told it was not the hotel policy. As we had stayed at the hotel to enjoy a good nights sleep after attending a family engagement party in Doncaster and had hoped to have a leisurely breakfast the next morning this was not the case . We tried to sleep when allowed back to our rooms but were too tired in the morning to wake for breakfast. Not a great night !

Excellent and friendly staff! A* made to feel very welcome

Rooms need a more thorough check between guests! Our room had clothing labels left in it and also the curtains were hanging off. Tv didn't work

The room was lovely the view was nice.the staff were great will be booking the same hotel next year for the same event but they've now moved it to october so see you next year.thank you.

Didn't realise our room was not in the maine building it didn't say that on booking which is O.k unless its raining I cannot walk far but due to a wedding their ended up parking the other side as the disabled bays didn't move their car all weekend.the wedding party were very loud and kept us awake till 3am shouting and banging doors so not impressed by that as we had a busy day the next day and were very tired.before i'd book again I would phone the hotel in advance and check their was no weddings it ruined the weekend not to mention the hotels reputation.

Convenient location

Room 122 is minute. The "double" bed is surrounded on 3 sides by walls; the table, chair, and luggage rack prevented access to the windows and curtains. I have never felt so "hemmed in" in the smallest b&b and this was supposed to be a double room! I requested secure parking on the reservation as I was driving an open sports car, but nobody replied. In the event the parking was excellent: why not mention it?

Reception staff were great, lovely bottle of champagne in our room on arrival, it was our anniversary. Breakfast great.

The pool area was a little shabby some of it needed cleaning especially the tiled area by the jacuzzi. The girl on reception was far too busy talking to her friends to deal with us and we were just left standing there waiting. She was friendly towards us but certainly lacked any professionalism!!! The hotel seemed to think we had not paid for breakfast which we had (it stated it was included in room rate on website booking). However they were obliging and included it free of charge.

Good Location - Close to motorway access.

Generator kept coming on during the night - very loud making it difficult to sleep.

The breakfast was excellent, Parking was very good, not far to walk. Would stay there again if came to that area.

Have no complaints.
