Donington Manor Hotel  

Friendly welcoming and helpful staff. Food was excellent, with kind considerate room service, much appreciated. Change of room late in the evening, this was sorted with minimum fuss. Rooms we stayed in were clean and tidy and eventually comfortably warm. Thank you we did enjoy our stay as staff were very accomodating which was much appreciated. Every consideration was made to keep us away from the noise of the wedding party this was much appreciated too. Thank you for the opportunity to comment on your hotel accomodation. We would recommend the food, staff and accomodation in the main hotel building to friends.

Our first room, though for disabled guests on the ground floor as requested, was a very cold room and smelled damp, a heater was supplied. This was not conducive in any way to a comfortable stay. I.E. noisy, cold drafty, smelly, basic. Sorry to say bed matresses were rather soft and roll together, though this was not as important as warmth, though might be to other disabled people with different needs. Stair access to main building, was there an alternative disability ramped access? Stairs to attic accomodation, was there another accessible route / stairlift / lift...please consider access cruicial for any future developments, as this would enhance stay.

fabulous staff my room was large and spacious the bed was very comfortable the food was lovely - I had a bar meal at night and breakfast the next morning. the standard was superb

As my room was at the top of the stairs, conversations from reception carried - I'm not complaining but thought staff should be aware that they can be overheard.

We were located above a function with music that did not finish until 1.00am. We had had a long day that day and really wanted to get some rest. We were not made aware of the function or the music - if we had we would have requested a room further away. We would have appreciated knowing about this when we booked. There was no fresh fruit at breakfast.

The hotel had that lived in feel and looked a little tired in places but I loved it and would stay again

The tv didnt work well but that was not major.

We had a family group of all ages and were made to feel that this was a home from home. All the staff make you feel really very welcome.

There was a large wedding on and the bar was somewhat overrun.

Ideal location for Donington Park Racetrack,(5 minutes), choice of meals in village good for all tastes. Hotel quite busy, Saturday wedding, but to be expected.

Very tired and tatty; absolutely not a boutique hotel. Not much 'finesse' really! Needs a lot of work.

We have stayed here on numerous occasions. The staff are always very pleasant and helpful. One particular male receptionist was outstanding on our last visit. He was the night receptionist Monday 8th April. He was really friendly, professional and polite. He was also great fun to do business with. He deserves a bonus! Because of him we left the hotel feeling uplifted. (Not bad for 6 am)

Very relaxing and staff were very friendly and approachable. We had a lovely room and privacy in the court garden. Breakfast was superb too. Thank you for a very pleasant stay.

Breakfast not inspiring for the price paid. Rooms require updating, but sympathetically to the style and history of the property.
