we had our evening meal in the food was very good and so was the breakfast
Staff were friendly and helpful and friendly but awful place to stay
In courtyard outside door broken inside door of light plywood only door between us and outside. Someone walk around in room above all night floorboards making a terrible racket . Bed and pillows most uncomfortable would not return here ever
The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent.
Wallpaper falling off in the bedroom and no hot water in the bathroom on saturday morning.
the wifi worked
paper thin ceiling, incredibly noisy in the morning - other guests, a drill or trimmer outside at 8am and then the general road noise - this was a Sunday morn gin - it was miserable
Everything at this hotel was fantastic! The staff were lovely and helpful. The room was alot better than we expected, it was a suite! So comfortable, we even had 2 tvs! The breakfast was very nice. The only thing is that in Donington village there are not alot of places to eat so it is prob best to eat at the hotel which is not a problem as it is so nice! Highly recommend this hotel and would most certainly go back.
Nothing, everything was perfect!
Breakfast is good and included , the Staff are great, we did have a slight problem with our room and when we mentioned it they gave us another room instantly so that was all good
nothing bad to say
STAFF LOVELY BUT ROOM WAS DARK & 'TIRED'
Location and food - breakfast particularly- good
Noise of boiling water(?) in hot water system all night kept me awake. 1960's TV system - poor reception and limited channels 1960's bedroom decor
great location great service just great
What friendly kind people nothing too much trouble will Definetly recommend
Hotel was very clean, presented very well, staff polite and helpful and although decorations in rooms were slightly dated the facilities were good
Unfortunately there was an electrical fault which meant some rooms (including ours) were without lights for a number of hours. Appreciate there was nothing the staff could do and they were helpful and polite throughout, with a discount being offered from final Bill without us requesting it.
Location in the village is ideal.
The room electrics didn't work nor was there any heating.
When we arrived at the hotel we were told that our room had no power. The only solution we were offered was to get ready in the conference room! So this meant we were meant to stay in a room with no light and pay full price!!! No effort was made to contact us to let us know so we had already arrived at the hotel not having made alternative arrangments! Poor! Ruined our night out.
Room was unbearably hot with no visible way of turning heating off. Noisy extractor for kitchen close to bedroom window, which had to be opened as the room was so hot. Tired room, a dirty towel had been left in the shower cubicle.
The food was very good, especially the breakfast. Room clean and comfortable. Good service.
The room was very hot despite turning the radiator down. The noise made by people merely walking around in the room above was very loud!!
Good value and great bedrooms, staff where great
Heating was not on in my room, but heater provides which worked well
The food was excellent and the service excellent too. We were made to feel very welcome
Can't think of anything bad to say.
not a lot
food , this hotel needs to get into the 21st centery heated towel rail cold , tv 6 chanels rubbish
Location was fair. Breakfast was good.
Rooms were dated. Rooms were cold (Bedroom, Bathroom and meeting room) I was in room 1, Street noise and noise from reception area was so loud I only slept for a few hours. Shower once set to comfortable temperature changed from very cold to scalding hot as I showered.
Staff yet again very helpful. Fantastic breakfast and great and helpful people.
Staff where very friendly, room was clean and beds comfortable.
Our room had a corridor overhead, very noisy with people walking and running above use both day and night. We were informed there would be a T.V in the room but not that reception was impossible to watch. Food was basic, service slow, bearing in mind we were the only people in the restaurant.
Location is good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice.
Rooms were cold. Courtyard room was so cold I moved, but even the room in the main building was barely warm enough. Radiators worked in the halls but not in the rooms. TV channel choice and reception is really poor. Rooms are dated. Menu choice is limited. Shower was adequate but no more than that. Clanking plumbing made sleeping difficult. WiFi was patchy.
Friendly staff, prepare to do that bit extra for their guests.
Convenient for East Midlands Airport. Ample parking.
Staff were excellent. Very helpful. Room was very comfortable and pleasant. Near the airport so made for relaxing morning before flight.
