Easy to park and greeted well
Very little explained on where things were and not partiularly warm envronment. Just about to be refurbished so expect big difference
Room was in slight disrepair and failed to inform us of a Christmas party going on
Menu for room service Friendly staff
Lack of lighting in rooms Bathrooms very dated and in need of rennovation Swimming pool out of service
Was near a pub!
You get what you see.
Lovely old building with nice reception and bar area good parking for your car
Warm air heating was cold, room that I stayed in was a dated and needed a make over, plumber must have a been a small person as a 6 foot person in the shower gets his chest washed well!!
Excellent wifi, comfy bed, very friendly, helpful staff. Nice food.
Wallpaper a bit seedy, football-watching groups in the bar too pub-like.
Location and cleanliness
Advertised price included breakfast, on arrival breakfast was extra
Public rooms lounge etc very pleasant and bright. Bed exceedingly comfortable and bedroom gets top marks for having two chairs.
Decoration and furnishings in bedroom had seen better days; no towel rails in bathroom. We thought breakfast pricey, given there was no option for Continental breakfast. There was no marmalade!
Location. Food Beds
Staff was not very warm or friendly; did not greet one. Bathroom was cold.
Nothing to like
Rude staff, smelly, dirty, depressing
Front garden beautifully maintained. Concierge very helpful and polite
Shabby and ripped/bulging wallpaper on bedroom walls ...didnt give a very good impression as son as you went into the bedroom. Black mould on the ceiling above the bath - not good! Very dated bathroom.
Limited food available high prices
A lovely village location ,ideal for visiting London yet had a rural feel , I could see trees and hills from the window. We had a comfortable spacious modern room in a fairly modern building, attached to an amazing old Tudor building which the hotel uses as a dining room. this hotel was a similar price to a travelogue but had a better ambience, good value for money with free parking and free wifi .
The noisy extraction fans or air con fans on the roof near our window , as a constant droning roaring sound , if these could be made into quieter ones it would have been perfect
We loved just about everything about this place. The staff are a credit to the company. The hotel is clean, warm and inviting. The food is exceptional and very reasonably priced and the Pinot Noir is to die for.
Not a thing.
I had mentioned that our visit was a surprise for my husbands 50th and they upgraded our room for us. Also, they were very clued up on the dietary needs we had. Everything was clean and tidy and the staff very friendly and helpful.
We were woken by some other guests in the early hours, they were loud ,swearing and obviously had too much to drink!!!
Nice room with good facilities Good location, easy to find Surprisingly quiet
terrible lighting in room non-interactive staff poor service and quality in restaurant.
The hotel has always been very good and the last room we stayed in, was excellent Thank you.
Excellent location within easy drive of Brands Hatch. Rooms are comfortable, spacious, clean and quiet. Good breakfast sets you up for the day and in the evening there is a good choice from the bar menu. Very relaxed surroundings. Staff are friendly and accommodating.
Room decor is a bit dated. Breakfast was extra on the room rate, but worth it all the same.
Good location for what we wanted Polite and friendly staff Very clean throughout good parking
Room very small and not well kept - very tired looking and in desperate need of redecorating. Staff mostly spoke and understood very little English. Bathroom very small and with poor facilities. First cooked breakfast was almost inedible. Good job WiFi was free as was such a poor quality
Cleanliness of bedroom; helpfulness of restaurant waiting staff
Broken window - handle missing; window frame rotted through; location is very near M20, therefore motorway road noise didn't make for a completely restful night; dinner - the food was dreadful and extremely expensive for such an appalling meal; breakfast was very basic and also very expensive
Nice, inviting reception area. Large car park Wifi Room cleaned and made up daily.
Wallpaper coming off in room. Air Conditioning unit broken. Noise from the m25 in distance Restaurant wasn't worth the money, my mixed grill had a undercooked steak, burnt chicken and sausage and hard egg and staff were East European and unable to understand English (She didn't even know what tomato sauce was until a colleague told her) The Bar staff were nonexistent, It was almost serve yourself on the Friday evening. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
Big clean rooms with comfortable bed.
The coffee at breakfast
Poor decor, looked run down.
Close to Brands hatch and reception open late
rooms need modernising/ paint
Wifi, breakfast, location for brands hatch race circuit.
Staff were not what I would describe as 'friendly'they helped when needed, but that was it.room extremely dated with shower too low on the wall, walls thin so we could hear nextdoor a lot! Evening menu lacked variety and I was shocked to see a 3.95 service charge has automatically been added to our bill! (Service was minimal and did not feel particularly welcoming!)during the evening meal I noticed the breakfast cereals and orange juice were still out ready for the morning, which put me off the orange juice for the following morning! Bar was nicely decorated but noone at the bar to serve, we needed to find someone for that too. Entrance hall was modern along with the bar but past that the corridor and room were pretty awful to look at, with creaky floors, draughty windows and a constant fan noise even though the air con was off. Overall I felt if the staff had been more welcoming towards us we may have enjoyed our stay a little more. Even upon checking out I at least expected the man behind the desk to ask if we enjoyed our stay or wish us a safe trip. ..we got nothing but a "bye". Glad to be back home and would not recommend to anyone else to waste their money here. All staff were foreign which I have no problem with, but when we wanted to add breakfast on for our first morning the girl behind the bar seemed confused, I walked away thinking "I bet she didnt understand" and sure enough the following morning we were not on the list for breakfast, when I said I had pre booked the night before I heard a sigh from the waitress like I had inconvenienced her. So, yes as I said I would not stay again.
