Dorian House1 Upper Oldfield Park, BA2 3JX Bath (Show map) Excellent, Score from 199 reviews“Fabulous as per reviews. I would definitively recommend and stay again if ever coming back to Bath.”
Marco,
Sutton
Enter an atmosphere of antique charm in Dorian House, built of Bath stone circa 1880. It is a fine example of victorian architecture at its most elegant, retaining all of its original features. Spacious rooms have a restful atmosphere and views over the Royal Crescent or well-tended gardens. Some have traditional oak four poster beds and are luxuriously decorated with opulent fabrics and stunning decor. Hotel Rooms: 11

The breakfasts were quite nice; we enjoyed the fresh fruit, full English, and coffee/tea. This accommodation felt more like a hotel than a guesthouse/bed & breakfast.

Very courteous and helpful staff. Good breakfast and comfortable room. A quiet night's sleep which is often quite difficult to achieve in Bath. Sometimes I would definitely prefer a more central location.

Quiet relaxing ambience, good quality products in room, bedding etc, very excellent breakfast (we grade on quality of scrambled egg which was extremely good!) Pleasant unobtrusive owners staff, provided plates and cutlery so we could enjoy snacks in front of the tele in the evening. Smoking area in garden! Interesting decor and beautiful music presumably recordings of owner playing in public areas. 10 mins walk to city centre although long steep walk back, taxi £7.00 for two worth doing. We have stayed in quite a few hotels in Bath and rated this a good 8 out of 10! Only thing missing is a magnifying (shaver/make up) mirror in bathroom! (Clients will probably be on the whole middle aged and this is essential!)

Dorian House is a lovely guest house. Our bedroom and ensuite bathroom were very comfortable with stylish furnishings and lots of hot water. The lounge room was very inviting with a good selection of magazines, lots of information about Bath attractions and restaurants and a computer for guest use. Breakfast is delicious (both cooked and continental) and is served in the dining room looking out onto the garden. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again and recommend this guest house to other travellers to Bath.

An excellent "boutique" style hotel - lovely rooms, friendly staff, super breakfast. Approximately 10 - 15 minute walk in to Bath shopping area and Thermae Spa, albeit an up hill walk on the way back. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel. Excellent value.

The friendly welcome along with the informality and trust that is extended to you when you cross the threshold. Our room, Tallis, was lovely, spacious and yet cosy. We loved it. Breakfast was also great with a wide variety and cooked to order.

The welcome we received upon arrival was very warm and friendly, and also informative. We we offered a free upgrade to a beautiful room which was very warm and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent quality and very good variety of choice. Location was perfect for a scenic stroll into Bath centre. Very happy customers!

Very comfortable facilities and room (Slava), including a luxuriant slipper bath in the bedroom which is a great feature. White company toiletries were a nice touch. Excellent breakfast options, including a delicious full English. The walk downhill into town takes no more than 8-10 minutes, which was fine for us, and the partial views across Bath are pleasant without being worthy of 'feature status' for the B&B. Bath is very much a 'walking city' anyway, with all the major sights compactly located. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Communal areas are well furnished, and the classical music theme creates a warm, calm ambience. Hard to fault, although appreciate the walk uphill back to the b&b wouldn't suit everyone after a long day sightseeing.

They were very friendly and professional. Easy to walk into Bath from where we were. The facilities in the room were good and the breakfast was good with lots of choice. Our room was small and a bit too hot even with radiators off.

This was an absolute find! The room was great (one of the most comfy beds I've slept in for a while) and the staff were brilliant and couldn't do enough for us. It's got a great cosy atmosphere and I'd definitely recommend staying at Dorian House. Breakfast was great but slightly small (but I'm sure they would've given me more if asked :-) )

Warm welcome by owner, above average room for price paid, superb breakfast with very competent staff and only about 10 mins walk down the hill into the City Centre. One of the best B&Bs I have ever stayed in, hope be back for another break in the summer when it is not snowing!

Dorian House is a beautiful hotel. The staff were excellent, as were the facilities. The location was perfect, with only a short 10 minute stroll into Bath city centre. The room was large and comfortable, and finished to a high spec. The bathroom was amazing! The full English breakfast was delicious, as was the choice of alternatives. Highly recommended. We will definitely be going back! There is nothing to dislike. Everything was excellent, including the quiet classical music in the lounge/breakfast room. Our stay was perfect and there are no negatives.

“Comfortable clean rooms, peaceful ambience, very customer focussed and competent staff. Breakfast was just as previous visitors have decribed, a good selection to please most people and on a par with upmarket hotels. Car parking although £10 a day for the service is worth it in Bath. Location for city centre walking is excellent.” Michael, Wynyard |
