Dorset Villa  

Owners were very friendly, breakfast was very nice. Key was left for us to let ourselves in and it was a nice easy going way to stay in a b/B.

Room was slightly on the tatty side, but was clean and comfortable. However, the price was very favourable. no soap in the bathroom, and only two teabags in room were the two things that could have been remedied very cheaply but always end up being remembered.

it was a great stay when we arrived the room was ready and open for us. when we met the propriatores it was like being at home and was so polite and all are needs were met. the breakfast was fantasic. as my wife put it was like being at your nans. again a fantasic stay.

As a couple, our stay at Dorset Villa (family room no.5) in Easter was totally satisfactory. The b&b is confortable and well kept, and just a short walk from the town centre. Breakfast is as excellent as the service. We would like to highlight the kind attention given by the owners, a genuinely nice couple.

The location is quite good, although the city of Bath is so small that everything can be reached in 10 min by walk.

The Dorset is a poorly managed bed and breakfast, the furniture is out of the times, the carpet was dirty and it lacked in general cleaniness. We didn't even bother go downstairs for breakfast... It is an hostel with prices of a 4 star Hotel. Definitely I would not go back there.

Good breakfast

Was some what disappointed with this guest house on arrival there was no staff juat a note with our nane on it and what room we were in.on booking it said there was car parking,but I cost us £8.50,the room was dusty and needed a good clean,two mattresses on the bed made it a very unplesent nights sleep.at around 12.30am there was a man shouting on the landing claiming to be the owners son,this went on for almost an hour!

Very friendly staff. Easy to find and a great location. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice and relaxing b&B.

Good location

We recently stayed at the dorset villa as it was cheap and there wasn't much else available, having read the previous reviews we were slightly dubious but hoped for the best. When we first arrived all seemed fine the bedroom was average and clean enough, everything was in working order. However we woke up and found a dead bug in our bed but seeing no bites on us at the time and the fact it was dead we didn't worry too much. We went down for breakfast which was fine until we found mould on the bread!! We were only staying for one night so left after breakfast only to discover in the evening that we were covered in bites. Do not go there unless you want to take away bedbugs with you!!!

Very friendly and helpful couple run this b+B. Very comfy and relaxing Bed. Very good breakfast. Great location - 10-15 mins and you're in centre of Bath where all the shops, cafes and tourist places are. You are alos 5 mins walk away from the large Bath open parks. Some nice classic art to view in b+b

In a couple of places, perhaps a few cosmetic touches to refresh the room. Minor though

The hotel was what you would expect from a B&B style hotel, small and basic. However the owners were really friendly and checking in and out was very easy (i.e. the key was left in the door for us when we arrived!). The location was great for town (10mins and you are at the Roman Baths), but you are away from the noisy night life. We would stay again, it was only a place to rest our heads for the night.

slightly outdated decor, but its what you expect from a B&B. Noisy if you are room 1 (which is opposite the breakfast room) and next to reception.
