Friendly staff and welcome. Clean and comfortable.
Room a bit tired and needing up dated.
The hotel in General was very very poor didn't have any good points at all!!! Noisy lift, bed rly not comfy but most of all the room wasn't clean & the bathroom was disgusting!!! For a Hilton this is the worst 1 I've ever stayed in
Very clean and comfortable.
Had to pay for Wi-Fi in room which is poor given the cost of a night stay. Heater was broken which staff knew about but did not tell me until I mentioned it. Tv did not work on arrival and took 2hrs for someone to come and fix it.
No Free WiFi in rooms No bottled water in rooms Additional supplements on dinner menu Unimpressive breakfast options and limited table service
In many ways the staff make this hotel. They were very friendly and approachable.
I personally miss not having a kettle and some teacups in the rooms. Besides that the room was great.
Noisey room, party going on which we were not warned , til 1 am :(. Also room was very cold
Staff were excellent. Atmosphere is fantastic. Pool and gym are great.
Old chewing gum on bed sheet and a red stain too!!
Easy walking distance to Union Street (Main Street in City). Helpful and friendly staff. Good breakfast.
Decor of room a bit tired but it was clean and tidy.
1. No source of fresh air. Opening the window makes the ceiling clang all night. 2. Silly bathroom taps. Poor design. 3. Had to pay for Wifi in the room. What a rip-off. 4. Spot light in bathroom shows me the top of my head, and nothing of the face i am shaving. 5. Clearly a "lowest bidder" designed and built hotel.
Clean rooms. Comfortable beds.
Shower head leaked spraying water onto floor. Extractor/ventilator in bathroom inefficient.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a dispute where another guest used my room number which was felt with quickly proffesionally. I also liked the warm cookie on arrival!
Platinum bedroom was lovely, nice and spacious, staff great and food was a good standard.
Was calling room service for nearly an hour in the afternoon to get some lunch, called Reception to be told she was busy and would call me back, did so 20 minutes later, but was too late by then as had to leave for a meeting so missed lunch completely.
Original price paid was very good for Aberdeen Hotel, then upgraded on arrival to Premier Room which was very comfortable. Breakfast excellent, easy walk to restaurants on beach front. Staff courteous and pleasant, will use again.
Lift was a bit creaky, but apart from that, no complaints!
I arrived at 7.30pm. I was given two room keys, one of which worked. I put my bags in the room and went downstairs for a beer. I returned to my room but could not get in the door. After realising the door lock was not working- 7 different card attempts- a service lady was called who unlocked my door with a special tool. I got into my room at 10pm. Apologies from staff but not offered an alternative room. I jammed my door open the following morning while I had breakfast (in the hope my bags would not be stolen). This place is becoming shoddy, tacky, and I wont stay there again. It is a shame to link this hotel to high quality names of both Doubletree and Hilton. It is far more downmarket from those quality hotels.
Location excellent, nice clean room with decent bathroom. Great breakfast, warm cookie on arrival lovely gesture.
Refuse to pay for wifi in a 4* hotel & would be nice to have a fridge in the room.
Nice relaxing break. Hotel very nice surroundings. Leisure facilities excellent. Breakfast excellent.
No Free wifi in rooms, it's an essential service these days, not an extra
The closeness of the hotel to places we wanted to see, staff were friendly and helpful.
We were given a room which was supposed to have queen sized bed it was only a double, I was travelling with my seven year old son and there was no spare bed for him, didn't like the fact he was supposed to share with me. Was offered another room at 7pm when he was in bed and settled!.
Very helpful staff and a nice friendly atmosphere. room was clean and fresh.
needs a bit of updating, a bit tired in places i.e. fire stop doors stuck open and the odd bits of wallpaper peeling
Not a lot
Decor, noise, faulty shower, dirty bathroom.
The buffet breakfast was great.swimming pool and sauna were good.staff were helpful
We were in a room that could be used as 2 adjoining rooms and we could hear them talking and tv until 1am.I did ask for a quiet room which i felt wasnt provided. The shower/bath mixer would not stay down to allow bath water to come out so I had to hold it until the bath filled
Welcoming staff at breakfast & reception . Cookies also excellent with a cuppa tea in room a nice welcome
Not being told about ordering fried eggs.
Love the pool/spa.
The room was tired and badly in need of an upgrade. Old style heating and bathroom. (Room 102). Not fresh and clean smelling - felt like a smokers room. Noisy next to the stairs and lift. Disappointed as a regular Hilton honours member. There was an issue with breakfast but had to show email confirmation in order to get breakfast. Love the location but may use elsewhere for my birthday treat in December :-(
close to town centre nice bar area
hard uncomfortable bed
