Location - lovely helpful staff. Clean. Beautiful views.
Bit pricey but enjoyed it - parking cost . Unclear regarding free parking advertised.
The warm cookie on arrival was such a nice touch
Had no issues with room or staff. Excellent weekend, already recomended it to family
Staff and breakfast were good as was the location.
Bed was very hard, room faced a brick wall and was dark and depressing at al times of the day, bathroom was cold.
Great location, really close to steep hill and cathedral. lovely staff, lots of choice at breakfast. Lots of chain restaurants 1 minute away and a cinema
Bed a bit hard for my liking but perhaps personal preference
It was clean, the location was good and the staff helpful.
It wasn't a bad experience but the room was dark - just one very small window - and the view non-existent. When the room was described as a "King" I hadn't realised that this meant "the most basic" Had I know, I would have paid a bit more for something better.
Loved how the staff were so friendly and willing to help you out! Also putting the roses and swans of our bed was a lovely touch to surprise me and my girlfriend! The breakfast was nice, the electric bar was ace! And we also appreciated the cheeky cookie when we checked in! Will be staying again!
Nothing at all but if you had to be picky Id have to say the fact the car park was full but then again what do you expect for Valentine's Day! Will leave earlier next time!
The staff were excelleny and greeted us with a warm welcome. The room was cleaned every single day and everyone was lovely. The room was exceptionally clean and tidy too. The hotel was right in the centre so nothing was too far away and we enjoyed the many walks and the sightseeing.
The free cookie on arrival.. The electric bar was amazing
The dim lighting in the room therefore had to do my make up in the bathroom/wet room where floor was wet after showering
The location is perfect for the nightlife
how I didn't hear about special offers until after I'd booked
Experience of the Roof Top Bar and Restaurant
Not bad , but I think the parking needs to be extended, and you do have a piece of land next door.
Parking! It took ages to get into Lucy Tower Street
Huge comfortable bed, modern decor, bath and shower. Breakfast was excellent
The food in the restaurant was lovely, although there was not enough, Was a seven course meal the cheese course had six big pieces of cheese between two but we had to share 3 biscuits, breakfast was good.
The bed was uncomfortable it was rock hard, the room was freezing and had to ask for someone to come up and higher it, the toilet kept flushing all night, no fridge,
As soon as we arrived we received very friendly and professional attention by the reception staff and for the rest of the stay by everyone. The views across the city from the room and the Bar/Restaurant were stunning and food was excellent.
Found nothing to dislike!
The bathroom was clean, the bed was very comfortable and the bar was very nice
The carpet in our room was damp, there was no hairdryer and no tea/coffee making facilities
Very comfortable hotel and restaurant served lovely food
Restaurant might reconsider choice of music or tone settings during the evening. The accoustics in the restaurant highlighted the bass tones whilst obscuring the rest of the music which made conversation hard work.. Breakfast music was fine.
Carpet was soaking wet. Room was supposed to have a double shower cubicle but it didn't.
Very clean, very comfortable and reasonably priced. Friendly and helpful reception staff and a good breakfast choice.
There is a very limited room service menu and the burger and chips bought as a bar meal, from the similarly limited menu, was greasy, unattractive and uninspiring. Local bars and restaurant offer a much better choice and value.
Location, quality and overall VFM: exclusion being Restaurant Availability, Restaurant Staff.
Directions to hotel car park should make it clear that it is necessary to drive through a pedestrianized area. On arrival at the hotel, we were not made aware that the Restaurant was fully booked that nigh. However, as frequent traveler's we did not even consider that we would not get considered for a table in the hotel restaurant: I will quote the only male working in the Restaurant at around 1840hrs. "The restaurant is for locals as much as it is hotel guests". As a guest, I expect a good hotel manager to manage the issue. It was 1840hrs, the restaurant was absolutely empty. We were looking for a table between 1900hrs and 1930hrs; as a diabetic I have very controlled eating schedules. He didn't give a monkey's. He was arrogant and dismissive. Again, the front desk were also dismissive.
How expensive drinks are in the bar
More or less everything - helpful, friendly staff, lovely room, great breakfast. Superb TV in room. Outstanding.
Personally I found the bed a bit too hard but it was no big deal.
How small the room was for a king size room
Unable to eat in hotel on first night. Fully booked only time available 6pm. Bar area too small not enough room for residents. Had to go out for a drink. Poor breakfast on 2nd morning
How close it was to the centre and the cathridral
