The location was perfect for visiting relatives.
When we arrived we had to ring the bell twice to get any service, in the bathroom we found an empty shampoo bottle and hairs in the bath The inside of the windows were covered in smeary finger marks, the shower kept running hot and cold, and the throws on the beds didn't look or smell clean.
Stayed overnight on returning from holiday in France. Arrived at 8pm in the evening to a friendly welcome. Clean comfortable room and a lovely breakfast. Should have stayed here on the way out to France instead of the holiday inn at Folkestone.
2 bedroom apartment was very good, spacious. Gorgeous bath, fantastic master bedroom
Cooker hood was dusty, floor was not clean, crumbs on settee and floor
Friendly greeting. Comfortable room with tea making facilities. Very quiet room on ground floor
A cobweb above the overhead lighting in bedroom. This could be easily missed I suppose. No white bread for toast when I went to make it.
Room size was good. Well stocked refreshment tray. Largest TV I've ever had in a hotel room. Excellent car parking area. Easy to find location. Extremely large bed.
Initial attitude of proprietor during booking in; the mix-up was not of my doing. Dripping sink tap in the bathroom noisy; I had to remove the pop-up plug to get to sleep. The bath plug was not attached to the chain, but was in a seashell soap dish on the side. The bath plug drain hole was dirty and had hair in it as well. Room above could not have been carpeted; the family staying in it sounded like a herd of elephants moving across the ceiling.
nice comfortable quiet room.Pleasant staff.Good parking.
We don`t do Full English, so had the continental. Well, don`t bother. A pot of "Instant" coffee. A meagre selection of cereals and a 4" long croissant heated via microwave, very thin very soggy.Shame really.
We only stayed one night, but found the staff very helpful and pleasant, excellent breakfast and comfortable, fully loaded, room
This small hotel is unpretentious and simple but very comfortable and friendly. The location is excellent for the Channel tunnel. We will be back.
Only a standard "English" breakfast is on offer plus croissants. Muesli, fruit, porridge and some cold meats, boiled eggs and cheese would each be a good addition.
We used this guest house as I had an event to attend at the Julie Rose Stadium, so excellent location for us. Good breakfast and comfortable room.
Ideal for access to Euro tunnel
The bar was closed but could get staff to open it and serve a drink then closed again !
How big the room was.
Large comfortable room, with 3 separate good beds. Helpful staff.
No hot water for shower either on arrival (9pm Sun evening) nor on departure (5am Monday morning). Did email direct to Downsview but no reply as yet.
A little chaotic and disorganised A bit tired
Quiet location close to m20 motorway and euro tunnel terminal. Breakfast very good and staff very friendly. Nice pub restaurant in close proximity of hotel.
Pebbled drive made it difficult for parking motorbikes, should consider installing a small concrete pad at the front of the hotel :-)
Breakfast was a disaster from our experience. Extra £8 NOT worth it!!!!! Can't fathom how they got an award for this. Had to wait ages and so had to rush. Had to ask for tea and no toast!!! Well out of town requiring £10 taxi fare.
Having paid £8 for breakfast it was a disaster. We had to ask for tea and no toast. Took so long we had in the end to rush. Can't fathom how they got an award for their breakfasts!!!!!
Comfy beds. Great breakfast. Very friendly staff. Great service
A good convenient stopover
Nothing to think off
modern and up to date facilities. breakfast was well cooked and good value
The staff were very friendly and helpful. They were quick to put things right and very attentive. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were well equipped. Despite having a few issues we would stay again.
The standard of cleaning could be better; there was hair in the bath and cobwebs on one wall. My daughter pulled back the bed cover and found a spider! We had to ask for bath towels and we didn't have a bath mat. The breakfast was a bit overpriced for what was received.
View from room Excellent facilities in room Comfortable Bed Complaint handling procedure
Night porter's attitude & manners Toilet door didn't stay closed let alone lock. Cobwebs/Spiders around window. Being forgotten about at breakfast, (although our £8 for a slice of toast and black coffee (no milk) was refunded without dispute on check out by two very pleasant ladies who managed to redeem the hotel slightly)
Very convenient for the Eurostar, very clean and well presented
Room size Bed Very clean Felt welcome Good value breakfast
Ironing board old and tired felt home made Kettle had no filter and created a lot of floaters Shower head came off mid shower
Ok for an overnight stop
