beautifully furnished country house Breakfast in elegant dining room was cooked to perfection
original bedroom in old part of hall not as well designed as new bedrooms in extension
excellent accommodation, friendly staff, most enjoyable pool and facilities and the food was high quality.
Nothing was disliked.
Lovely fancy 4 star hotel, with great bedrooms, en-suite bathroom with jacuzzi in bath, great swimming pool on site with jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and amazing SPA too. Staff were very friendly and accomodating. Lovely hotel building and very exclusively furnished, immaculate and quiet. Great hotel!
Fabulous staff. Beautiful bedrooms. Excellent restaurant. Lovely grounds.
Nothing - we had an exceptional two day break.
Breakfast great, hotel warm and comfortable
The hotel was very good. Felt completely rested even after one night, the amazing quietness of the hotel. outside you really felt at one with nature. heard foxes etc. first class.
Breakfast sausage not good. partner found a little bone in his. It was a commercial sausage not the quality one would expect.
Excellent weekend in beautiful hotel.
Room was large. Shower was easy to work and good.Breakfast was ex! With plenty of choice. Nice toiletries in room and good television . Staff where all polite and attentive .
Superb staff, in fact nothing was too much trouble; excellent food, lovely grounds and a good location. Ian and Pat Hill, Lincoln

Having to leave!
Venue, facilities, staff friendly & helpful
Lift not working Dinner menu choice also expensive so ate in lounge went out second night to local restaurant
Style and finish of hotel
A nice two night stay, but the second night was noisey with a wedding party. Overall we enjoyed the break. The food was good.
Cobwebs near the curtains and dirt coming out of the jacuzzi holes of the bath.
Doxford hall is beautiful. This was my second stay. Rooms are fantastic - spacious and full of character. The leisure facilities are great. Didn't have dinner at the hotel, but afternoon tea and breakfast were lovely.
The family room we stayed in was amazing, separate room for the kids and even a kitchen and the bathroom was huge. Also the breakfast was very tasty with excellent service and choice.
The leisure facilities were a little lacking/tired in parts, only 2 changing rooms which were uni-sex and there were only 2 showers which were by the poolside. But the sauna, steamroom, pool and Jacuzzi were lovely.
Comfortable room Luxurious bathroom Delicious cooked-to-order breakfasts Excellent dinner Friendly and helpful staff
80s Muzak on permanent loop in dining room - felt incongruous in the lovely 19th century candle-lit (for dinner) room.
Lovely setting and interior Good facilities
Very charming and welcoming staff. I felt like nothing was to much trouble for them.
just about everything
it was really cold in the morning in the corridors and restaurant
The complete stay
Food comfort, staff friendly nothing too much trouble, white table cloths , clean swimming pool. In short my favourite hotel!!
Comfort and quiet. Lovely weather and grounds. Great breakfast.
Dinner expensive and slow.
COCKTAILBAR WAS VERY POOR DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH STAFF AND WOULD YOU BELIEVE NO DRY SHERRY! WOULD HAVE EXPECTED A LARGER MENU
The location, the building and its potential. The bedroom was clean and serviced well
The service and the price. In my opinion for the price paid the service was poor. There was very little interaction from the staff, they appeared quite remote. It took 2 hours to receive fresh milk for the tea and coffee room facilities.
