Located opposite the Kings Dock, Village Urban Resort Swansea is just a 5-minute drive from Swansea’s city centre.
Score from 508 reviews Very good
This beachfront hotel has dramatic views of Swansea Bay, and is a short walk from the center of town. Highway M4, golf courses and the Gower Peninsula are nearby.
Score from 403 reviews Very good
Following extensive refurbishment, this landmark hotel boasts excellent facilities and a central location.

Situation, free parking, excellent staff.
A little bit noisy but you have to accept this over the Xmas period.
Draught beer of a poor standard. It seems customers were buying bottles rather than pints because of the poor quality beer
Liked location facilities at hotel are good but rooms are not four star in my opinion
The food in the brasserie was delicious. The location of the hotel to the Quadrant shopping centre and to the Liberty stadium. The swimming pool where the staff were very friendly.
Unbeknown to us they had changed directions in Swansea and we couldn't turn left to the hotel. Sat nav was no good to us. In the room one light bulb wasn't working which made it quite dark.
On site parking. Well managed reception.
Bathroom door hinges were squeaking so much they disturbed the next door room. Rusty shower rail and shower curtain sagging and not clean.
Location excellent for shopping, walking around, plenty of restaurants & bars
Cold water in swiming pool
The central location . The clean pool and the massage . Also free wifi which you don't get in more expensive hotels. Very good value for money
very friendly staff and a lovely clean and cosy room in a great location, would definitely stay there again
Terrible shame that The Dragon doesn't have a jacuzzi & that the sauna is separate for male & females.
Central Location was good, Staff were friendly.
Room had been refurbished but signs of wear and wallpaper coming away.
The location The lobby The bar The pool The room The leisure staff, cheery and friendly.
Elevators designed for 1-2 people? add luggage and it's kind of cosy, add a third person and all kinds of personal space barriers are broken. The showers in the room. Disappointing. The gym, nothing special, also no hot tub or steam room. The biggest dislike of the stay was the staff, they were somewhat off, rude and non-courteous. We were in a festive cheery mood, a smile and some polite phrases like thank you and have a nice day. The general banter you would expect from a superior hotel wouldn't go a miss. The walls and cabinets above the bed were thick with dust. This was illuminated when you put the bedside lights on and was pretty disgusting to be fair. There were also stains on the curtains. Tea selection in the room. No hot chocolate or herbal tea. Can't comment on the food as we felt £15 per person for breakfast on top of the £89 per night room was a little steep. There is a Weatherspoons, M&S, Mcdonalds and other chain stores offering breakfast at a cut of the price we went to M&S and had smoked salmon bloomer for £3.49 and it was lovely. There was however no 24 hour hot meals, we found this upon returning late after a few drinks and were told to go to mcdonalds, which was 24hr and nearby. It didn't however really fit what we were after.
Friendliness of the staff
Complicated road system outside the hotel
We came as a couple for a shopping break before Christmas. The location was excellent as it is in the middle of Swansea and everything we wanted was within easy walking distance. The rooms were clean and tidy and the bed was really comfortable. I did not really want to go shopping!!
The rain that was ever-present throughout our stay!!
Quality of hotel was good with very welcoming staff. Bedroom was more than adequate and very comfortable. Restaurant looked very nice but unfortunately we did not have chance to use it. Will make a point of booking next time we stay. Although the bathroom was very small there was both a bath and shower. There were also good selection of complimentary toiletries. Overall a good find. Would definitely stay here again.
. We had a little bit of difficulty finding the hotel as we did not know the area. . Hotel car park was full so had to use local NCP (there was a £5 charge). . Bathroom was very small (although well equipped).
charging 100 instead of 75 without knowing before i went
The location was central for my needs. The staff were pleasant and friendly. The pool was a good size.
The deco was dated. The towels were old and had some stains on them. The WiFi was very very poor. There was no visitor book in the room The breakfast was £15 per head! The ceiling tiles near the air con were stained.
Good hotel, good price, good location. Need I say more?
Not enough parking
I liked the actual location of the hotel.
The heating system in the hotel was not very good, the Brasserie was cool, the bar had AC on even though it was raining and cold outside. There was very little atmosphere in the hotel or its bar and restaurants, although it was supposed to be full there were very few visible guests. The reception staff were attentive but others were fairly indifferent. The room was very small and the bedding tucked in at the bottom of the bed and was basically not long enough. There was no hot water on Sunday morning. We will be returning to the Premier Inn in future.
Breakfast was excellent Staff were brilliant Great location
The single beds in a twin room vere very narrow
