Good food and friendly restaurant staff Antiquated bathroom, very poor plumbing. After contacting the hotel re. late return (hospital admission) our guest was locked out and spent the night in his car. Front door key had inadvertently been removed from fob. |

The atmosphere, the food, the room was lovely, the breakfast was beautifully cooked. The evening menu was a little expensive but worth every morsel. The fact that dogs are allowed in the bedrooms. |

Charming building with lots of character. Our bedroom was large and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. Overflow car park at the rear. |

Wood Pannelling, Log fire lives up to its 17th Century origin but has modern facilities, Handy bus stop outside for Minehead or Taunton if you are not in a car. |

Open fires, quirkiness of the building, i.e. uneven floors and walls. Food. |

This is a hidden gem. The website entry suggests it is classy, which it is, yet it also advertises on the local radio. Our room was very spacious and well appointed. The floorboards were firm but what you might expect from such an old building. Restaurant/ bar was small and relaxed. |

The tarif included dinner, and the choice was a la carte, which was generous. The carpets needed to be cleaned, especially on the stairs |

It was very quiet with not a lot of atmosphere.Obviously the time of year was the main reason. |

The general ambience was very much to our liking and was added to by the very welcoming/obliging staff. The road noise but we were offered an alternative room which we didn't take up. |
