Easy parking, good food, nice lounge
Uncomfortable bed, staff unable to provide local knowledge (bus services, etc), keg beer absolutely horrible, many fixture and fittings in need of repair (e.g TV bracket, loo seat, door closer, bed frame)
nice olde world charm quiet easy to find alongside the main road, good parking room and bathroom good. nice bar area, pleasant conservatory for breakfast. very attractive garden
the bed was not the most comfortable and very noisy when you moved! the breakfast was okay but lacked a little perhaps more choices on the full english
Interesting hotel Comfortable room Balcony to ourselves Breakfast Slept well
Not a country pub within walking distance or shop Not a roll top bath like we thought we were going to get No iron in the room like we thought No where to hang towels No where to put toiletries, shelf space Breakfast could of been bigger
Nice Room with character ( room 10 ) Location Quality of food
Choice for evening meal limited ( shame considering food was good ) Traffic noise could affect a light sleeper
The Hotel was very good for our short break The room in the garden was lovely the food was excellent .We would deffinately return again .
the food was very good and the staff were nice.
the noise from main road.
Very welcoming and superb bedroom. Enjoyed our stay with our 8 year old grand-daughter
Shower in bath very poor
Room was lovely, but it's an old building so don't expect every door to close properly! Also stayed for dinner one eve which was excellent.
Room was big and comfortable with lovely roll top bath.
Being on main road, traffic is quite heavy at times.
Plastic in the sweet??
Very pretty building and rooms, delicious food, friendly staff
On the road
staff helpfulness staff friendliness cooked breakfast although the menu was limited for me as a gluten free teh food was good
Didn't realise it was that close to the main road.
Ambience, look and feel, location, breakfast,
friendliness of owners, great food comfortable bed ,rooms clean and tidied daily good location for visiting Exmoor.
The size of the bed, the quality of the decorations and furnishings, the beer garden and the attention to detail by the staff.
Lack of menu choices.
Great atmosphere friendly and welcoming staff. lovely set up old buildings court yard and the weather was fantastic as well. Cream teas were terrific we also had a meal in the restaurant and it was excellent value well cooked and well served especially as there 7 of uswere
It would have been nice to have a night cap before bed but the bar closed quite early. Shame as lounge very comfortable and it would have been nice to have a snifter and a chat before bed. Also a personal comment I don't like Tetley's bitter and it was the only choice other than Cider or Guinness maybe a nice range of bottled beers as a backup, there was a golden ale to be fair but not a range.
wifi was very inadequate, Breakfast was basic
Location, breakfast, room, in fact almost everything was great.
water pressure in bathroom was not great
It's was my first time to Somerset for holidays. The hotels is in an ideal location to easily travel to other near by areas like Dunster, Minehead etc. Services were great. The hotel building makes you feel so relaxed and comfortable. Harvey (the owner) was very helpful. Highly recommended place.
Good accomodation and clean rooms. Very kind staffs.
Food was not bad, but can be better.
Public areas, service, excellent food, ambiance, décor and furnishings. Great character small hotel.
Bar not busy enough to keep draught beer in good condition. En-suite facilities functional but tired and in need of upgrading.
Nice old building with lots of character! Very comfortable, good service, decent restaurant, too.
Quaint and freindly A very nice old country building with all the modern fixtures required. It has the feel of the past in modern times. We enjoyed our stay.
The driveway access is on a curve and entry and exit requires exceptional care.
Excellent breakfast. Standard of cleanliness very good. Staff were cheerful, welcoming and pleasant. Well worth the visit and will certainly go back
Nothing to complain about.
excellent accommodation , stayed in room 1
