Beautiful hotel, friendly atmosphere, very nice room the staff did not quite live up to the style of the hotel in terms of professional service. They were friendly and smiling, but lacked the profesionalism required by a top hotel; one example: the receptionist pressed herself into a very tiny lift together with me. She was quite large, and left me in an uncomfortable position pressed into a corner, which did not give me a good first impression. At breakfast, they were out of several items, which meant we had to go out to get breakfast afterwards. Still we were charged for the breakfast. I would have expected that they got out and bought those things they were out of. |

The Staff were incredible helpful and pleasant. Even though my room was small it's furnishings and amenities were exceptional. I was out most of the day at museums and shopping so it didn't matter and the public rooms, Drawing room and Library were luxurious and a great place to have a drink or tea and enjoy the paper. |

良きにつけ悪しきにつけ純英国調の伝統的ホテルでありもてなしである。英語が堪能でないとスタッフのジョー- ク等がわからず楽しめないと思う。値段が高いのでその分完全を求めると落胆が大きいと思われる。調度品は骨- 董品に近く不具合も多いが、全体として古き良き英国の重厚な雰囲気に浸れる。庭に面した部屋でなかったのが- 残念。朝食は期待した水準以上だった。 スタッフの一部はまったくなってなかった（到着時に自分からティーを勧めたのにそれを放念、こちらから催促- してようやくありつけたとか、どの新聞を「所望するかと問われたのでＦＴを頼んだのに、最初の朝は新聞なし- 、最後の朝はまったく別の新聞が配達されたことなど）。部屋のカーペットが古く、汚れている。すぐに交換す- べき。空調は温度調節が部屋別になっていないので困った。エレベーターが貧弱（2名まで）で遅い。スキップ- フロアのように階段が多く、ホテル内で迷子になりそうだった。ＴＶが古い。シャワーは電動ポンプで加圧する- 方式のためプレッシャーが強く（これはこれで爽快なのだが）、シャワーを浴びた後浴室全体がびしょびしょに- なるのは困った。要するに古い建物で、インフラ部分の更新が不完全なためいろいろ不具合が生じているといっ- た印象。 |
