Was nice enough room for the money.
Noise from Toilet Cistern and bed wasn't too comfy.
The staff Beds were comoftable Bathroom was clean Good breakfast
Couldn't get the radiators to work Windows were really hard to shut Function room directly downstairs so a lot of banging and music but we were understanding and overall weren't to bothered
relaxed @ friendly staff
loud heavy traffic noise through the night
no evening meal ,on returning from eating out just before 9pm we were told that the bar was closed so had no other option but to go up to our room and watch television
location was great, I love old buildings with great stories such as this hotel, city is simply beautiful, it was clean, quiet, I slept like a baby
The full thing was shocking accommodate was a disaster and staff had no organisation they are in the wrong game
Bar meals and location
No car parking
Spacious single room bright and airy with excellent views. Breakfast was just perfect.
A trunk road runs past the front off the hotel and with single glazing and heavy traffic throughout the night I eventually dropped off to sleep around 1am but then I was woken by other hotel clients returning to their rooms from the jazz festival by doors banging and people talking on the landing. And finally a loud crashing in the next room when something must have been knocked into their bath. By this time I gave up and made a cup of tea.
no breakfast included in price. for the amount it is to stay in a room, no even a slice of toast is pretty poor!
Receptionist was friendly
Room was awful. Peeling wallpaper. Sound of upstairs room flushing toilet. The waste water pipe actually situated on our rooms ceiling. Consequently every time the persons above went to the toilet during the night we heard the "tinkling" then the flush of water racing across the ceiling. Could say more but I guess no-one would be willing to accept that thie room was well below the standards expected..
Bedrooms were nice - staff lovely - easy access to events in the town
Carpets in communal areas not clean - shower not very powerful- porridge cold on one of the mornings
Daily Roast dinner 5 pounds 99 excellent value
Noisy bar across the street. Bad food. Had no hot water, bed was terrible. Room wasn't cleaned daily
No wifi in the room. Wifi only available in parts of the bar. Car parking not available. No phone in the room. Room was not made up during stay. Smoking room requested not provided.
Beds are comfortable
Looks very tired, not very clean.
Central town location. Reasonable price for a stay.
Rooms could do with updating ie old shower unit. Old carpets , cleanish room ,
Staff, McNabs bar and food, value for money, clean.
Hotel decor is tired, Room noisey overlooking main road, no double glazing.
Check in shambolic, easier getting through american customs!!
Poor rooms cobweb on ceiling never saw front of house stuff until check out poor overall
its cheap and cheerful for a girls/boys night. As it stands at present it does what it says on the tin and serves a purpose.
The lift has a carpet on the walls Not for a romantic couple weekend.

The location of this hotel is ideally suited to enjoying all the Trossachs have to offer and is very close to beautiful walks in the woods and Bracklinn Falls. When asking the Front Desk (Lindsay) where to eat or what to see, he was most helpful and enthusiastic about what he had to share with us.
Ancient but functional elevator. Hotel is showing its age and could use a little more attention. Wifi only available downstairs and not on the rooms.
We were overcharged by £5 on the booked price, very unfriendly staff, the hotel was very unclean, it appeared to have considerable water damage to the lower area carpets.
passed its best
Location is great, not that Callender is big, but anyway. There is parking lot nearby and the variety of foods offered is satisfying. Rooms are big, all you need is included.
toilet did not flush in our room, some renovation will help.
