Excellent family hotel in good location with good facilities
Allow plenty of time to get there as road is bad. Try to avoid travelling there in the dark
60 of us were celebrating a family birthday and the food was always great, facilities were always available except the Mobiles Network down because of the weather. Hotel rooms were excellent very warm and comfortable.Staff were great helpful and friendly.
my previous breaks/holidays at drimsynie. i have been coming here for 20 years.staying in:lodges, bungalow, theGOIL & drimsynie hotels, caravans. i have brought my whole family, son daughter & partners, 4 grandkids, mum. for special occasions ,partied, golfed, fished, etc. But alas this time was dissapointing,
we had room problems, ie, no hot running water for the 3 day break. we changed our room on the 1st night due to the noise outside our window. The meals on 2nd & 3rd nights was very poor.the new year party finished at 12-35am. the scheduled act for 3rd night did not arrive. complained but very DISSAPOINTED.in management response.
Location and the peace and quiet
Myself and my partner loved this place everything was off an excellent standard. The staff were so friendly the setting is fantastic and the rooms was excellent. The facilities were excellent caters for everyone. The food is of a very high standard well done to all involved and thankyou for making our stay excellent. We will be back for sure!!!!.
Nothing at all.
Setting, ambiance, spacious and comfortable bedroom, lovely facilities, ie pool, sauna, jacuzzi, breakfast and evening meal, all lovely. Ideal for walks around the Loch and surrounding areas.
I don't have a negative comment and will not put one just to fill this space.
Good clean room, breakfast very good, enjoyed our stay
Far to many stairs for my wife as she uses a stick, sign posting was poor from rooms to dinning rooms.
My family and I loved this place, it being in November too, it meant we had the run of the place, I'd definitely go back as the staff and location was great. Keep up the good work
The family room was huge but didn't have any windows that I requested before I went, check up on request's guys.
helpfulness of staff
décor a bit dated but clean
the staff were efficient and friendly. the views of the loch were amazing from our room . the setting was beautiful .the room was clean . all areas easily accessible from the main hotel .
i did not like the smell of stale cigarette smoke in the room or stair wells. the 4 poster bed was lovely but the other furnishings in the room did not keep up with the period.a bit more thought in this would have left a better impression .
Fantastic location, excellent views down the loch, really good leisure facilities, food good and reasonably priced.
Bathroom was a bit dated the shower head was a bit faulty and the shower screen leaked.
Staff attitude at reception unhelpful and leisure facilities jacuzzi & steam room not working, pool surround could do with deep clean pool towels unavailable, no information on booking for dinner on arrival
we enjoyed our stay here, everything was excellent very good value for money, would recommend this hotel to anyone, fantastic location with great views, there is everything at hand to have an excellent holiday,
Staff are excellent very attentive. Food excellent. Many activities indoor and outdoor.
The 6 mile journey to enter the estate vewry narrow windy roads.
We had a lovely time, kids loved it, my daughter (2 years) thought she was living in a castle. Lots of things to do,Weekend is not enough.
Our room was below grounds so we had no window in our room that we found a bit strange. The price for the room was a bit too much. Bathroom definitely needs an upgrade
The location and facilities
Setting was lovely .Staff nice but really busy. Room comfortable.
No where no get away frrom children .fireside bar not open and Bistro only open 2nights of our stay. Friends came to vist and nearest place they could park their camper van overnight was 12miles away although loads of room for such a facility nearby. The hotel lost custom because of this.
Lots to do for kids. Beautiful setting.
The room was tired looking and the air conditioning unhealthy - and loud. Didn't sleep a wink on my stay :( Felt a bit like accommodation for school trips.
Location was stunning. Hotel very comfortable.
When it said golf and spa hotel it seemed like a wonderful get away for us as a couple. The photos and comments seemed to exclude the fact that it is in a large family /kids resort and the spa is more like a kids leisure centre. We still had a good time but not the romantic getaway we had quite planned for! Great for taking away a family though.
Location Staff Facilities
Carpets, wallpaper and fixtures were all very old and tired and looked grubby. Hotel is a beautiful building with some excellent original features but is let down by the tiredness of the decor
We stayed in the main building big and classical clean great views 8/10 plenty of amenities for kids seem to be loads of children everywhere and old people all enjoying themselves breakfast 1/10I have to say was extraordinarily low quality in fact it was a lowest quality experienced dinner was quite good but it was very overpriced for What it was 4/10 if you stay there and bring your own food. ... Or book a table in one of two or three restaurants the location is fantastic
Staff were very good building was nice and clean I certainly would recommend staying in
The food was fantastic, the staff were helpful, friendly and we really enjoyed chatting to the bar staff in particular in the Fireside Bar, exactly what we wanted from our 1 night break. The 9 hole golf course was great and again just what we expected. The manager Aileen tried to help by arranging for us to have our meal in the Fireside Bar and that was appreciated.
The bedroom was adequate, bit scruffy but very clean with a lovely large bathroom which unfortunately had a carpet! We were unable to use the residents lounge, as there was a private function on and as we were looking for a quiet time away to recharge and unwind, we only had the chance for 1 night and we really didn't want the hustle and bustle of the busy family bars which had entertainment this was a bit disappointing.
Friendliness of staff. Lovely location.
The hotel is situated in an ideal location with excellent facilities to hand. The surrounding scenery was also spectacular.
The hotel room that we were staying in didn't appear to be the cleanest (notably from finding several long blonde hairs on the bed, the bathroom and on the carpets. Neither myself or my partner have long blonde hair!). The supplied white towels in the bathroom also appeared to be stained, so we didn't use these either.
