Restaurant Clean and comfotable rooms
wi-fi only available in lounge area
lovely cheery staff
Staff were great Restaurant was fabulous Very clean room with high quality decor and bathroom
Bed was a bit too hard. Didnt sleep very well.
Staff very friendly. Very close to Inverness. Exceellent dinner
Wi Fi only available in lobby - why not in all rooms? A tad expensive.
Lovely, peaceful, quiet setting that is a great place to relax.
The beds unfortunately were hard as nails although the duvet and bedding was nice.
Great hotel, staff were wonderful, clean and very quiet. Definitely plan to have a car if you stay here. Location is great if you are out exploring the Highlands on your own but too out of the way if you need to use the bus services for sight seeing
The Buffet Breakfast was a little pricey for what they served though it was good.
Relaxing, lovely surroundings and very welcoming staff
As I travel a lot alone due to nature of business, this hotel was a quite a bit different of hotels I usually stay at. A very pleasant experience in that sense. Gives you a real feeling of very high class service but a century ago. I have had a good share of meals in fancy restaurants around the world but this one beat them all. I am not exactly fond of very high class service but still an excellent experience. Please accept my compliments to chef and staff in general, flawless service no doubt. Yours sincerely, Business traveler from Estonia
Floors were very squeaky on third floor. I actually thought that maybe this is part of the atmosphere. I was quite worried about people living below my room though. I was not able to use internet in my room. Signal was strong and managed to connect to the network but didnt get internet access. Same network worked fine in lounge area on ground floor.
Quiet location Spacious, clean rooms
The spacious room. Bed very comfy. Bathroom excellent. Peaceful surroundings
Meals looked good but in our opinion were too expensive especially the breakfasts
Big bed bath and shower good selection of teas coffees etc
Room 304 slopes yes slopes and the floor squeaks really badly
Very friendly staff who went out of their way to help. The food was excellent.
Some furniture. For example, the dining room chairs were too low for the table and the seat sagged so that the front rail was uncomfortable, also the mattresses needed replacing.
There was wifi, the staff were kind and helpful, the bathroom was clean
Expensive, window was closed and no ac. The sheets were not comfortable
Helpful staff, very large spacious rooms and bathrooms.
Elevator music playing in public areas all the time. Bit expensive for room only.
Very friendly staff, excellent room for comfort and facilities. Beautiful surroundings. Ease of access on to the A9 and also into Inverness. Excellent breakfasts.
Same menu every night, also a bit pricey for the Dinner Menu. We only used the restaurant one night because of this.
Good clean well run hotel
A very hard bed
(Wedding) Function we attended was very well managed, staff very attentive and unobtrusive.
Staff were very pleasant. The rooms were beautiful very comfortable.
The price of dinner!
Surrounding area - location from Inverness. Room sizes Extras - Bottled water etc Atmosphere
Nice to stay a little out of town, tranquil setting.
Location, room and food
Lack of swim pool
All the staff were helpful, especially with my disabled mother The food was exquisite . . . . if expensive
The General Manager (?) was a bit officious. He pursued me from the Reception area to the restaurant when I - unwittingly - didn't comply with their dining room seating system. I thought I could just walk in to the restaurant and order dinner. Oh dear me, NO!!! Guests have to be summoned to their table after first having an expensive drink in the Reception area, where they are expected to wait until invited to be seated for dinner. Just a tad pretentious . . . . . We were in a ground floor wing of the hotel, where a disturbing smell of damp permeated the corridors and rooms. WiFi is not available in the rooms. It should be available and it should be FREE! The WiFi in the Reception was very much a hit and miss affair and often one can't get a connection, or one has to keep trying.
Quiet and comfortable with excellent and well presented food
Lack of bar for casual sitting and a drink and a public tv
The food was good.
This hotel's main aim seems to be to get money out of you. It wasn't clear from the booking that it was room only so we were surprised to charged £15.50 extra each for breakfast. It was the most expensive poached eggs I'd ever had. Even when I showed them our booking printout which did not say room only and explained we did not have the full breakfast they insisted on the full £31. They also surcharge £3 for paying by credit card. Some waiting staff were delightful but a few seemed to have been put into service with no training and too nervous to even manage a smile. I won't be going back again.
