Room was really spacious. There was a table and two chairs which was nice to sit and have a read or glass of wine. Breakfast was a continental buffet and the hot food was served. Top quality ingredients. Atmosphere was lovely and relaxed and the staff were really lovely and helpful.
Superb shower Good bed
Poorly cooked bacon at breakfast Lack or very poor wifi, although advertised
Quality of service
Very hard bed,did not sleep
I did like the room because it was spacious, and very peaceful and quiet. I enjoyed a very relaxing break away from home, and breakfast was delicious and served by charming staff!
- Location excellent, minutes from the A9 - Comfortable room, clean and tidy - Breakfast was very good
- Room service meal was a bit cold, tasted ok though
Receptionist very sullen and not overly friendly. Had about a 15min wait to check out as only 1 receptionist on desk who was dealing with a guest query. Fire alarm went off during the night
Staff very helpful,lovely room
very hard bed,not much sleep
Arrived at the hotel as part of our whistle-stop tour of Scotland for our honeymoon. Staff were extremely helpful in all areas of the hotel but especially Vicky. Whilst unable to locate any safety pins she found me a needle and thread to help with a near disaster. Food and service in the restaurant were outstanding!!!!! Definitely will stay here again
Wifi signal not strong in bedroom
We liked the location and style of hotel and even although there were weddings on it was quiet
Low flow of cold water from tap in bathroom and a noisy extractor fan in the bathrom
Wardrobe door off hinges. However it was fixed once reported. No sky sports on TV.
Restaurant Clean and comfotable rooms
wi-fi only available in lounge area
lovely cheery staff
Staff were great Restaurant was fabulous Very clean room with high quality decor and bathroom
Bed was a bit too hard. Didnt sleep very well.
Very comfortable stay, it's quite out of town so very peaceful. Well equipped comfortable room, great service at dinner
One minor quibble was having to pay extra for smoked salmon at breakfast, when it came out it was minuscule, people next to me had a large full English, no extra cost. Manager at breakfast seemed more interested in getting guests out than in ensuring they were happy, felt rushed to eat and get out
Staff very friendly. Very close to Inverness. Exceellent dinner
Wi Fi only available in lobby - why not in all rooms? A tad expensive.
Lovely, peaceful, quiet setting that is a great place to relax.
The beds unfortunately were hard as nails although the duvet and bedding was nice.
Great hotel, staff were wonderful, clean and very quiet. Definitely plan to have a car if you stay here. Location is great if you are out exploring the Highlands on your own but too out of the way if you need to use the bus services for sight seeing
The Buffet Breakfast was a little pricey for what they served though it was good.
Relaxing, lovely surroundings and very welcoming staff
As I travel a lot alone due to nature of business, this hotel was a quite a bit different of hotels I usually stay at. A very pleasant experience in that sense. Gives you a real feeling of very high class service but a century ago. I have had a good share of meals in fancy restaurants around the world but this one beat them all. I am not exactly fond of very high class service but still an excellent experience. Please accept my compliments to chef and staff in general, flawless service no doubt. Yours sincerely, Business traveler from Estonia
Floors were very squeaky on third floor. I actually thought that maybe this is part of the atmosphere. I was quite worried about people living below my room though. I was not able to use internet in my room. Signal was strong and managed to connect to the network but didnt get internet access. Same network worked fine in lounge area on ground floor.
Quiet location Spacious, clean rooms
The spacious room. Bed very comfy. Bathroom excellent. Peaceful surroundings
Meals looked good but in our opinion were too expensive especially the breakfasts
Big bed bath and shower good selection of teas coffees etc
Room 304 slopes yes slopes and the floor squeaks really badly
Very friendly staff who went out of their way to help. The food was excellent.
Some furniture. For example, the dining room chairs were too low for the table and the seat sagged so that the front rail was uncomfortable, also the mattresses needed replacing.
