The reception staff was very helpful and offered an upgrade when the room originally allocated to us proved to be well below our expectations. The room we finally stayed in was spacious, very nicely decorated, with excellent view and comfortable bed. Wi-fi was good and free of charge. Although the location on booking.com was described as '10 min walk from the centre of Inverness, which made us believe that it was within walking distance from the city centre, the hotel is actually located outside the city of Inveness, a 10-15 min walk from the nearest bus stop. As bus services to the city centre from that area are not that frequent we ended up taking taxis twice a day (with an additional cost of about 16-17 pounds per day). We finally ended up hiring a car and the hotel proved then to be very conveniently placed near the motorway to Perth. The mini bar was empty, there was no change of sheets or even pillow cases although we stayed for three nights, bathrobes, although promised, were only provided on the last day.Slippers were nowhere to be found.

We attended a wedding being held at the Hotel so it was extremely convenient to stay there. The staff were friendly, very helpful and everything was very efficient. The bedroom and bathroom were comfortable and the curtains hung properly. Good housekeeping! The bathroom was very cold.

Very friendly and professional staff. I had to ask for more at dinner. I ordrerd the sea bass and was presented with two small pieces of fish. I asked for the same again for myself and two colleages having the same meal. The waiter obliged.

Was lovely and quiet We were there for a Testomonial and the service during it was perfect . However I found the night staff at reception a bit unfriendly . This is not a complaint just would have liked them to be as happy and friendly as your day and evening staff.

Courteous staff, though some much better than others nice location very clean, orderly and well kept good breakfast when we discovered our bathroom fan wasn't working, we were given another room within ten minutes Just a teeny few of the staff need to learn how to stretch their mouths horizontally...maybe then they would be surprised to discover that is what's known as a smile

The atmosphere, the reception and the furniture in the room. Oh and the shower - good size and an actual shower! Not a bath shower! The cleaning staff kept on knocking even though the room was available to me until 11h00. I did not have any notice to put on the door.

I have been before, so knew what to expect and had the same standard of room second time around. It was pleasant and spacious, with excellent Wi Fi and a good standard of bathroom and lovely views of the gardens. As this was a trip with my husband, we took the opportunity to escape to the restuarant and treat ourselves to dinner. I am so glad we did. EVERYTHING was first class and it has been years since we have experienced such fantastic service. The wine waiter was a dream and went out of his way to open a bottle of desert wine when my husband explained he was just wanting to have the one glass. Everyone was attentive and the food was the best we have had in ages. Breakfast was the same - impeccable, faultless service with attentive, although not intrusive staff that were freindly and pleasant. (Beautiful floral display in the reception - really elegant and smelled delicious!) The reception was not as good as the rest of our experience with the receptionist not even breaking a into a polite smile for the purpose of courtesy. I had to ask what time breakfast was and where the restuarant was (I had forgotten). We felt pressured to make a decision to book dinner (we were undecided on check-in). I was very disappointed to find the fridge was not working in our room and to be advised when we called reception that none of the fridges worked and were being replaced. A simple explanation on check-in would have been sufficient or even a little note for guests explaining this with an apology in the room? We were brought ice on request which was hassle free. Apart from those 2 very minor details, our stay was comfortable and pleasant and we will book again.

Location of the hotel was really good, very quiet and open area but yet very close drive to the centre of Inverness. Whilst the food was excellent, there was a very limited choice for dinner and with the cost of certain items, did not feel this was very good value for money.
