The helpful and attentive staff. Thought I was going to get a bottle of Whisky in my room but didn't. Also, I found booking the hotel was highly problematic. Firstly I phoned the hotel directly - but was unable to book a room even though there was lots available on the web. |

This is not the hotel to stay at if you are young couple as they are not interested. The quality of rooms are very poor considering it's reputation as a supposedly 5 star hotel. General housekeeping is very poor, the lack of cleaniness was very surprising |

We had the best meal we have ever had while eating in the restaurant, staff and service throughout the hotel are amazing, the rooms are beutiful with a four poster bed in ours along with a luxurious deep set bath and seperate monsoon shower. very relaxing stay all in enjoyed everything. couldn't sit in the fantastic smoking area after about 11, but this is understandable as there are rooms around. |

Lovely hotel, quite expensive but the quality of the hotel reflects this. Staff were outstanding in every respect. A beautiful building and the decoration is very stylish. Walking distance to lots of bars and restaurants in the West End. We could only have dinner reservations between 6pm and 7pm which was unfortunate. We had no milk in our mini bar and only one bathrobe. These small problems were soon put right. |

The room was celubrious and the extras (golf putting and decent cafetiere coffee, walk in wardrobe) well worth it in terms of improving the comfort and enjoyment of our stay. It was so lovely and comfortable that we did not really want to leave the hotel for the concert / meeting friends that was the reason for the visit. We will stay at Hotel du Vin again I am sure. There was some traffic noise aparrently. Mty parter tells me but I slept like a log. |

Stafff very pleasant and helpful, the hotel was well appointed, rooms were a good size, and well furnished, short transport ride to city centre,a very chic boutique hotel, would certainly visit again. We upgraded our room and were given a room at the rear of the hotel near the rubbish disposal area, each morning of our stay a refuge truck arrived at 05.30 and removed garbage. The noise of the truck arriving / leaving certainly wakened me !!! . When I pointed out this to the front desk, they replied sorry !!!! |

Great style, service and food Room design a bit odd with "french windows" door connecting bedroom to bathroom which meant light from the bathroom intruded into the bedroom - a bit annoying when your partner has an early morning shower and you want to snooze on. Operating the bedroom lights was also a bit of a palaver |

Very stylish and cosy, service excellent but not obtrusive, altogether a wonderful stay in a wonderful hotel. My partner has vision problems so could have done with stronger lighting in the bedroom. |

The staff were very friendly and eager to please The decor / lighting was far too dark, in our room and also in the dining room. It was depressing. While the food was very nice, I thought it was slightly overpriced and a bit pretentious. |

All was satisfactory, in particular the reception staff who were wonderful. Its a great shame that the usual Hotel du Vin attention to detail was lacking in the bar.... we were served with stale pistachios when I requested something else, was served with similar stale nuts. We eventually received a bowl of walkers style crisps. I am sure however, that something a little more suitable could have been served in a hotel of such exacting standards. Minor point but a shame. |
