Rooms were very good Food also good
We were kept awake with 2 dogs barking next door until well after 12.30am Breakfast was very poor as was the service We were on the second floor and found the stairs difficult and the 4 houses difficult to find our way around There did not seem to be any appearance of management, staff not very concerned or helpful
Staff Service Breakfast Art Atmosphere Fireplaces
Rooms too dark No full length mirrors No mixer taps
This is our favourite place to stay in Glasgow
It is an expensive place to stay and you need to check your bill if eating there as they tend to add on a service charge.
atmosphere, room and location
Very Relaxing & Cosy enviroment.
The bedroom, dressing room & bathroom was very dark, and one of the light bulbs had gone in the bathroom. It was difficult to get ready in the mornings.
Staff very friendly and helpful suite was lovely
Just seemed a little out of the way from centre
Layout, facilities, comfort
Staff very attentive ,breakfast great
Bed was a bit uncomfortable
Rooms are beautiful and some are very spacious. Beds extremely comfortable and the dining is good too.
Parking can be a bit tight
Very classy and stylish hotel. Staff very attentive and helpful.
Our room was so lovely.
The breakfast was excellent.
We were so disappointed by this hotel as we had expected a much higher standard of service and comfort. We were ignored at reception by staff while we waited to check in, the decor was tired and bordering on shabby and our room was not clean, with the coffee maker being covered in dust amongst other things. A one-off romantic treat which disappointed in every aspect other than the breakfast which was lovely, but again served by a girl who sniggered apologetically for giving it to the wrong table before us and a waiter who did apologise for her and who appeared to have been used to providing a service more like that which we had been led to expect. So disappointing as a special birthday surprise for my husband. For the prices charged there are far superior hotels around who know how to provide a high level of personal customer service. Yes, the rooms are named after champagne (woo-hoo!) but who cares if the bathroom isn't clean?
Comfortable pillows. Good continental breakfast served in room early.
Costly by taxi to get in and out of town. No milk in the room then told they had run out! However they did locate some eventually. Carpets could do with hoovering and were grubby. Bottled water etc in room all very expensive.
The hotel is better every time I stay there. The style of interiors is smart and restful. The restaurant is a treat, the food is excellent but not too pretentious. Perfect place to entertain. My dog was genuinely welcome too.
Staff's coversations are being heard in the room, and the ceilling groans alarmingly - sound insulation of my room was not perfect this time.
Our stay was extremely pleasant and the staff was especially helpful, kind and courteous. We enjoyed our time there very much.
Room was excellent, decor was superb.
DVD played didn't work in colour.
Comfort of bed
No lifts - long climb to room Lack of things like shower cap, toothbrush, razor etc Unfriendliness of staff Poor menu choice - dining place not available - only bar menu available for dining in the bar - harassed to order before kitchen closed at 9pm but others being given a menu after 9.30pm?? Bar drafty
Loved the staff especially David the porter ,rooms are lovely area is fab .
It is slightly out of the biz but a taxi is only 7 to 8 pounds but well worth it .
I booked for our wedding night because our honeymoon was delayed. We were upgraded when the manager noted it was our wedding night and the staff went out their way to make our stay enjoyable with free welcome drinks at the bar on our arrival. Breakfast was excellent and we will definitely be back soon!
There was a queue for check out but the staff were very accommodating.
Room really well-equipped and well-appointed. Great shower and bath. Staff very friendly and welcoming, most helpful. Dinner excellent.
Piped music in dining room. Tea/coffee at breakfast could have been better, as could the toast (but few hotels serve decent toast).
Opulent hotel, friendly staff, gorgeous rooms/decor.
Comfortable, good amenities, helpful staff, stylish.
Breakfast wasn't included.
Lovely boutique hotel with attentive staff
Although we were given a complimentary upgrade, our room was right next to the front door and reception area - very noisy :(
Room, food and staff were excellent.
