One Devonshire Gardens a Hotel Du Vin  

Well trained staff, friendly too. Great bed and fantastic breakfast. Very god value for money. What more do you need!

We were first time visitors to the hotel and as it was our anniversary the manager gave us an upgrade to one of the biggest rooms in the hotel, the Geoff Merill suite which was out of this world, the room had a roll top bath in the bay window, a four poster king size bed there was a large flat screen tv, the on suite had a fantastic shower.and as the room was at the top of the building there was a lovely big roof light above the bed. everything about our stay was way beyond anything we had ever experienced anywhere else. All of the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and were happy to help you enjoy your stay, nothing was too much of a problem for them. As it was our first visit we had our evening meal in the hotel resturaunt which was a whole new eating experience, although a little on the expensive side was well worth it as the food was pretty special. We will definetly return to the hotel and would recommend to others.

Friendly and helpful staff from arrival to departure. The restaurant food was delicious, well prepared and presented, and was good value for money.

Beautiful rooms and very attentive staff. It has the feel of an upmarket b&B. Very good , freshly cooked breakfast.

Very dimly lit bedroom. No lift and the building is not very suitable for anyone with mobility problems.

I loved everything about the hotel, can't say any more than that.

The hotel is a fantastic group of linked buildings with all original features.Rooms are large and comfortable with excellent en suites.Food for breakfast was very good, .

For the cost of the room we were disappointed withe the old poor quality Tv . The main disappointment was the organisation of the service of food with the breakfast.Coffee and toast arrived at third time of asking after the cooked meal had been virtually consumed. Shortage of staff and room service was blamed.

The room was fantastic, the food served in the bistro for dinner was out of this world. All staff were friendly and helpful.

One Devonshire Gardens is without doubt a great hotel. Attention to detail is phenominal. Staff are, warm, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble and everything appears geared to affording residents the best possible experience. Fantastic.

Atmosphere. Decor. Professional, unobtrusive staff. Quality and presentation of food. Impressive standard of finish in rooms. (Bathroom fittings were so polished they looked brand new) Townhouse 5 was like home from home with own waiting staff for our daughter's wedding! Wedding planner made our day relaxing and looked after us next morning too. Initially disappointed because there was not booking discount for wedding guests, but delighted to be given upgrade. We also booked another room for friends and they were given an even more impressive room - Schloss ...? It really made their day! We had a lovely,laid back, relaxing wedding experience.

When pianist and jazz singer left at 7pm, we couldn't hear the I Pod selection that we had taken days to prepare. (It also contained lazy 40's music) The hotel controlled the volume, which was fine, but it was turned down so low that it couldn't be heard in main wedding function room.

The customer care was excellent. Brilliant location. Sophisticated environment. Luxurious roll-top bath!
