breakfast was as good as it gets!
there was nothing to dislike
Chris Euabank coming into the bar
Room was too expensive for the standard. Food was poor value for money.
I took my partner here as a treat, and to spoil her rotten. I requested for additions extras, and without any issues those things were done, and it looked stunning!
evening meal slightly over cooked. Breakfast warm not hot.
Would only be topped by a valet parking service
Lovely hotel, fantastic service - staff could not have been more attentive and welcoming
Tiny criticism - lack of accessible make up mirror with sufficient light. All else perfect though !
The car park experience was not great, as I called the hotel and they told me it was better to go first to the hotel to then go to the car park. Finally it was a nightmare stoping outside the hotel for a few minutes, and there was actually no real need to go to the hotel before the car park.
Great base and a comfortable hotel
Our room got ridiculously hot even though the heating was as low as it would go. We had to have the window open for most of the night in order to cool down.
Great staff /service
I didn't enjoy the breakfast I.e they deliver English rea but forgot the milk etc - the quality wasn't great
Food, location. Nice vibe
Aircon was a bit fierce at times :-)
I felt at ease and well taken care of. The room was very cosy and warm, I had a good nights sleep. I shared a breakfast with my daughter, it was very tasty.
From arrival to departure this hotel exceeded expectations. Matt was engaging, helpful and welcoming at check-in. The room was newly refurbished, including a comfortable sleigh bed and a bathroom with wow factor. At check-out Paul was equally friendly and seemed genuinely proud of the hotel. It seems this Hotel Du Vin is up to the standard expected.
My stay was too short.
Poor main meal
The service and staff were fabulous
The bin men came every morning at about 7 outside very noisy - I was getting up for work but If I was hoping for a lie in ......
Great looking place Amazing staff 24 hour bar! Lovely breakfast Beautiful room Very comfy bed
The food in the bistro, an amazing Bloody Mary and a cocktail in a mug!
A very expensive wine list - a wider range would be preferable.
Great hotel, stayed there before and my wife and I both enjoyed returning. Booking.com deal made it much more affordable. Dinner and in particular wine was excellent.
Very little - room was a bit warm and couldn't make the temperature control work - not much of a problem really.
The location.. The lanes, restaurants, bars and seafront are on the hotels doorstep.. A little bit of luxury within the buzz of brightons lanes .
Having to check out .
* location is fantastic * loved the nespresso machine in the room * front desk staff very friendly and helpful (but weren't sent for when room available, a ruse to get you to spend more money in the bar?)
* no complimentary biscuits or water in the room * breakfast service could have been better. Disrupted by cleaning and staff moving furniture around. A bit much for 7.30am. * filter coffee served with breakfast very weak. * HdV resting on their laurels. Decor needs updating. Glad we got a good midweek deal.
Great breakfast included and perfect location close to seafront and Lanes
Xmas day lunch was fantastic and the staff were amazing (without exception) Best hotel in Brighton by a long way! Thanks for a great Xmas and for really caring about your customers
Great position near to both the front and The Lanes. Friendly and helpful staff. Good bar and restaurant.
All night bar and courtyard which our room overlooked. Although middle of winter, we were nonetheless woken by noisy yobs at 5 in the morning shouting directly below our window. Charged for mineral water in the room. Complimentary milk was on the turn. Had probably been in the mini bar for several days. Wish hotels (in general) would provide decent sized mugs instead of the small, industry supply outlet ones.
Always excellent. See you soon.
Accents of staff difficult, No lift, £10 for a pint of lager???
