First stop on our tour of Dorset, Devon & Cornwall. Was going to stay at Sandbanks. Glad we didn't. Great location Great room, very comfortable Fantastic shower OMG. Pity we didn't partake of the restaurant and wine room. Look fantastic.
Stairs are very narrow to the room One of the packet English Breakfast tea's smelt like sardines. Change the brand.
Food was excellent.
Room was excellent but could be improved with drawers, perhaps in bedside cabinets.
Ground floor room, staff, food.
lack of parking facilities and hard to locate
Breakfast Service Rooms The hotel have that extra touch and service that makes it extrordinary
More local beer in the bar would have been Nice, but exellent variation of Foreign beers
All of it.
Parking was difficult but not surprising
An up grade to luxury exec room, heavenly experience and much appreciated. Would always recommend this hotel. Food excellent.
Shape/comfort of room, the balcony,
Room service breakfast, hot option would have been better
We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel du Vin in Poole. Comfortable hotel, nice restaurant and convenient for ferry to the Channel Islands
i would have like a bottle of water in the room.
The bistro and the rooms were of outstanding quality.
Great location Great food
Wi-fi signal very bad Not possible to reserve car parking, overflow car park not used, cars parked everywhere in car park blocking empty spaces
Staff friendly, efficient and informative. Rooms spacious and superbly appointed. Moreover quiet. Bar meals and breakfast excellent quality. Location by far one of the best being close to both harbour front, main shopping malls close by, easy access to Sandbanks etc. Channel Ferry port around the corner.
Period building with charm and character which has been tastefully finished and furnished.
Lack of hotel parking
The fact that they made us so welcome with the dogs. Staff were incredibly helpful.
No gym. Was a bit loud on Saturday night in the bar, which was close to the room.
Excellent menu & good disabled facilities in the room and for parking assuming you can drive!!
£10 per day parking charge and a few too many stairs in side.
Location, staff, style
Ineffective air con.
wifi is too bad
Given poor room first. 2nd room much better. breakfast service slow. dinner average.
Very welcoming and helpful staff
Dining room and dinner
Lots of extras of food/ drink in room, tempting people to buy.
The staff in particular on reception were excellent, very helpful and attentive. Te room was clean with a very large and comfortable bed
I felt the hotel was very expensive for what you got with the breakfast and bistro dining / bar costing a huge amount for rather average food and experience. We also stayed in one of the garden terrace rooms which whilst was a nice room was not worth the extra v's a standard room. The so called 'terrace' was basically a fenced area of the car park and had one sad looking pot plant and a rather rickety looking table and chairs. I certainly don't think it should have been emailed out as a 'value upgrade' a few days before my stay and I'm quite annoyed we ended up paying extra. Having said that I didn't have the inclination to complain whilst I Was there and I'm sure if I had the staff would have moved us back to a standard room - I just didn't expect to be disappointed by a hotel group I usually rave about. Poole is not the best example of one of their hotels.
The room size was good the staff very friendly and the food was excellent.
The bath robes were old and scratchy parking problems and the hotel was a little battered round the edges. A disappointing treat
Comfy bed Excellent full English breakfast Powerful shower Great location Clean room
Restaurant staff a little under trained by very friendly and helpful Room name hard to remember!
