Close to tube and Clapham Common with short walk to restaurants pub etc
Some of the other guests were a bit noisy fairly late
The room was nice & modern It was very clean
The room got incredibly hot at night & the fan made no difference whatsoever
Nice location for London
1. Shoe box size room. 2. Carpet was soaking wet. 3. TV didn't work properly, a portable aerial had been added to help but there was nowhere to put it expect balance it on the wall mounted TV!!! 4. Room too warm even with the window open. 5. A gate in the back yard area constantly banged in the night with the wind.
Location and price were the key highlights. Overlooking clapham common was a positive. I liked the old school guest house vibe
Bed was quite squeaky. We were on the top floor with skylights and the windows were pretty dirty and there was no blinds
24hr concierge service
Lots of creaking floorboards
Great location for our visit Clean room Cheap
Smelly foyer and corridor Neighbouring guest who noisy and smoked . Worn carpet Frayed wires
room smelt of cigarettes! double bed was tiny! tv didn't work either!
It is located very close to northern line clapham south station. It's cheap. Our room was quiet.
Most of the staff spoke very bad English. Breakfast quality was bad. The carpet and the walls were dirty. It needs a rennovation. Cards needed to be updated in the reception every day.
Rooms looked dirty, floor, bed could do with being refurbished.
Bathroom was clean Good location in clapham south
Staff weren't overly friendly Expensive Bed was horrible!
Position was perfect for sw4 festival on the common.
The breakfast was rather expensive and really not that great. Poor quality sausages. Also the breakfast room was really stuffy and had no fresh air. Quite a cramped breakfast room. Would recommend.
The location of the hotel.
The room stunk of poo. Maybe it was the drains but still not pleasant to have to sleep with The beds were terrible The staff weren't very good at communicating The hotel was overpriced. I understand there was an event but the room was not worth £133. £48 would have been a more reasonable price given the lack of comfort and the smell.
-Very clean -Room very comfortable -Great location -Good Security
The manager always seemed to be charging around and shouting at her staff which was uncomfortable for guests. I had very heavy bags and a room on the top floor but was not offered help. When I wanted to use the luggage store on my checkout day, they were very reluctant, quizzing me about how long I would be leaving the bags etc... I didn't feel welcome. I put up a "do not disturb" sign, but cleaning staff still knocked on my door
Nice external period structure Nice friendly and helpful staff Good buffet continental breakfasts A short tube ride from London
Both sister hotels need complete refurbishment. The decor is not 'shabby chic', just old, worn out and not the cleanest. Basement room (which we moved from) was damp and really smelly - apart from its size which was ridiculously small even for one person! Overpriced for the quality... even for its proximity to London city center.
I liked the location and it was cheaper than other places we looked at in London.
It is advertised as hotel but I would not class it as hotel more like a guest house. Bathroom was tiny and rooms were small too.
This hotel was Ideal for me and 2 friends going to a festival in clapham common as it was just for sleeping and location and I can't fault it for that but would not recommend it for anything else
It was a very big room even though we booked it for 3 people and the toilet smelled as soon as we got in. We also felt the room was a bit over priced.
Location is excellent for the Oval, only four tube stops. Good range of eateries closeby. Lovely place to walk on the Common.
Rooms are very small, but comfortableand reasonably priced for the location. Dining room a bit cramped but the staff were lovely.
The bed was quite comfortable and the facilities were very very clean. Loved the free wifi. The staff were great.
There was no ventilation fan in the bathroom and it was tiny so it was hard to air it out and got quite damp. The room is so tiny that when you open the door it doesn't open fully enough to get in easily before it hits the bed. Too many doors to go through to get to the rooms in the back.
Served its purpose, somewhere to sleep while working down there.
friendly helpful staff, metro station within walking distance, convenience stores and eateries nearby, calm and clean environment, london attractions are easily accessable
none at all
Attractive exterior/ façade. Proximity to restaurants, supermarket, coffeeshop and underground. Great park just opposite, great for kids. Internet.
Room very stuffy, dark, extremely noisy!! We heard every single noise from the room upstairs and next door. Bathroom was extremely tiny and leaks on the floor. Sink was 30 cm dimension.
Location and price
reception was open 24h; normal staff tried to help
bed bugs in the room and management did not even reply to complaint, let alone apologize!
