The hotel is very close to the underground (Clapham South) and a supermarket (Tesco). Very easy to find, great value for money and very friendly staff. You get your own bathroom and toilet. Our room had hairdryer, TV, kettle and they put new tea bags every day.
The bathroom is very small. You can hear a lot of noises from the corridor - it didn't bother me, but if you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs
The location: close to the green area of Clapham Common and to the Tube, not far from the Clapham Junction Station to go to Gatwick Airport, and not far also from the beutiful Battersea Park. Wirth good supermarkets nearby like M&S and Waitrose. The quiteness of the particular room where i have been assigned; the cleanliness, the good heating in the coldest part of the winter. The price.
Just a little discomfort of the bed, the remote control not working, no light near the bed.
Mattress need to be changed as it is dirty under the cover horrible I would say for room 8011
Good location, close to tube station.
Room was far too small and only just fit a 'double' bed in. Room was also stuffy and very hot. Broken tiles in bathroom which I caught my feet on in the night and nails sticking from base of bed which we're holding make shift valance in place. Shower broken and half water dripped down the pipe rather than coming out of the shower head. Didn't expect luxury as was only £50 per night but did expect room to be clean and safe!
Bad was too small, room was very small, hotel was very loud
Polite and responsive staff, really good location near tube station and many restaurants within walking distance. Wi-Fi available in rooms and free.
Bathrooms needed refreshing, but fully adequate for the price. No refridgerator in room.
Easy To Locate, I had a quiet room and staff were pleasant.
No Parking, although I booked en suite I got a room with a bathroom across the communal hallway. Bed had a very budgeted thin over used mattress, TV had damage to screen.
The price is cheap.
The FREE WiFi was only down in the lobby. There was no heat in the room they had to come and turn it on only after we've complained many times.
The room did the job as we wanted somewhere cheap to stay in London. Great location, with tube stations near.
Before booking we rang and asked about parking. We was told it was available for £10 but it couldn't be pre-booked. We arrived at the hotel and was told the parking was fully booked. When we asked where we could park we was told on the street, where there was a 4hour maximum stay!
the bed was comfortable.
the shower was too small an cold water kept coming out, even when the hot was on.
Service was good and the staff was helpful..
No card to open the room door because the card machine was not working. The bed was not comfortable ..
We wanted to be in Clapham for an event. Perfect location overlooking the common. Walking distance to shops bars and restaurants on Clapham high street and in pretty Abbeville village.
we liked the location: good tube connections, nice park. The rooms are small but just for sleeping - ok.
There was mould in the bathroom, very thin walls. Two of our four nights the other guests were very, very noisy on the corridors on the ground floor (next to the reception) during the night. Door slaming, drunken girls screaming, running,... and the staff did not bother. It was not just a bit anoying, it was really constantly loud. Woke up a dozens of times and hardly got back to sleep. Once apparentely 2 girls lost their key, a staffmember opend the door to our room - a confusion - still not amusing at 4 a.m. and we never got an excuse. The other two nights were ok.
The clean every where clean
The wifi not in rooms
A group of us chose this hotel as it was reasonably close to Brixton academy and fairly priced. It was easy to locate from the nearby tube station, clean and tidy. In all fairness it was idea for a group of us to get our head down after a night out.
The hotel is quite dated but not untidy. We stayed in a 4 bed room (a double and 2 singles) the double bed had a huge dent in the bottom as though the springs had collapsed, it felt like I was going to slide out all night.
The place was cheap. Very cheap. Not going to find anything else that cheap unless it's a hostel. Also only a short walk to clapham south station.
Stayed in one of the rooms in the basement where the air conditioner didn't work and the carpet was wet so the room was incredibly stuffy. These were some suspect stains on the flow. Very noisy and it sounded like people were running around upstairs all night. Glad to get out of there.
The location was perfect and in between 2 tube stops.
Staff didn't care about you being there or what you needed.
Position, close to Clapham South underground station.
Entering the room it was smelling really bad and it was coming from the bathroom. They offered us to change it the next day, but they did not even come to see what could have been the problem. The day after it was not smelling anymore..because since we used the shower it stopped.
Location Brill - close to Underground network. Pubs and Resturants close by.
Room in Basement - Reception above. Road noise. Flashing Blue lights from Building, came through the window. Reception noise through-out the night.
Location as it was a short walk to the function and a family member who unfortunately couldn't put up our family of 5, however, she put up 3 and myself and my husband stayed over. We are knew in the country so price was of interest as well.
Bed was completely broken WiFi wasn't working at all Room was quite dkrty and we found somebody's hair in the bathroom
The location was good for our purposes, and the facilities were clean.
The bed was horridly uncomfortable and on a slope. The walls were so thin you could hear your neighbours mobile phones ringing as if it was in the room with you.
Bathroom had bad smell
