Good location (5 mins by walk to tube station, zone 2); clean room and bathroom; 24 h reception
Very (!) small room with NO wardrobe, no space for luggages; very thin walls – you can hear everything from neighbours; WiFi is NOT available in room – you have to go to reception for access; no toilet brush in bathroom; no table lamps
It was central to the tube stations and a nice location
Being in an attic front room where the noise level was high from the constant traffic outside and water tanks continually filling through the night
the location and value
beds not comfey and noisey
Location was good. Value for money
Was told would be 4 singles beds but was 2 singles and 1 double. Two friends had to share one bed. Radiator was broken and was on max whole weekend. Reception were less than helpful and finally send someone to fix the problem on the Sunday morning 30 minutes before checkout....
Good value for London
Very basic room Too much activity adjacent to room Vending machine out of action Shower lacked controllability
Location and it was clean.
Very basic rooms and very small
Managed to get out alive. Handy for Clapham. The TV didn't fall off the wall despite dangerous fixings. Almost reaches third world standards.
NO WINDOWS. NO VENTILATION. Paper thin walls. Minute en suite. Staff struggle with English. Road noise constantly. RSPCA would condem this place. Expensive. Parking a shambles. No wifi in the rooms.
bigger room with well equipped facilities like fridge, AC, READING TABLE, WARD ROBE
Paper thin walls, damp room, dead spider left in room all week, no room to put clothes
Disgusting , dirty , not to be used unless it is an absolutely necessity because you can't possibly afford anything else . I you are coming to London for pleasure , rather stay at home !!!
Located right by Clapham Common, it was ideal for our overnight stay when we went for an evening out in nearby Brixton. The room was small, and it had a decent sized bathroom. Soap and towels were provided, and for the price I didn't expect anything fancy anyway. For a budget stay, a place to get your head down, it was great. We didn't have breakfast there so cannot comment on that, but there are a couple of nice cafes and bakery type places up the road where we had some great barista coffee and pastries.
The cleanliness (the runner on the bed had a stain) and health and safety (a slightly broken kettle and an almost exposed wire) was questionable in some parts, but to be honest, it didn't affect our stay. The sheets were clean. The towels were old and had some old stains that obviously won't come out - but they were laundered well. I'm sure you could ask for them to be changed if it bothered you.
Connection to London Centre. Next Underground station
Rush street for whole night. Broken window
The location, opposite Clapham Common was the only redeeming feature!
From the start the place & the reception guy were unfriendly, unsmiling, uninviting and very tacky - all strip lighting and plastic flowers. A dark, poky room with very little natural light. tiny bathroom. Shower hot & cold like crazy. Radiator wouldn´t work. Very strong chemical cleaner smell in the room. The bed had some kind of bugs, as we were bitten during the night. Finally, there was no fire escape in the room, apart from a tiny sky light, which no one larger than a child could possibly fit through! I wouldn´t recommend this place even to my worse enemy!
The room size bed old springs. Broken room size small toilet not flushing seat broken
The room to small for two people !!! Very musty and basic and to higher priced !!!
Loved the location. Not far from shops and restaurants. Also by a park and footpath where you can go running
location good for me.
Poor bed. No elevator not easy navigating the narrow stairs with heavy suitcases. Poor internet.
The location of the hotel is very convenient: the underground station is close to it, 2nd tariff zone (next to the city centre), many buses travelling to the historical centre, a food supermarker is near the hotel, polite staff.
Very small room for two, there is not even a small refrigirator for the current use. It was stuffy even during the night (at the beginning of October).
Its location and helpful staff
At this hotel - you get what you pay for ... If you want more, stay elsewhere
The hotel is multi story and does not have a lift. The stairs are steep and narrow so bags are a problem. However in our case the concierge was most accommodating and changed our room to ground floor.
We found the room comfy and quiet which is nice. Staff were friendly, room was clean, all the facilities were provided as mention on website and many people were having good time at pub. it was easy to get to the hotel.
The room was bit small for double room and wifi was too slow.
The location was great for what we wanted. We had a lovely view of Clapham Common from our room. Room was basic but good. We managed to get one of the two parking spaces otherwise parking would gave been a problem
We were in the attic up 3 floors of steep narrow stairs.
Decent size rooms, lovely ensuite bathroom, very clean, nice full English breakfast.
Only down side on busy road.
Not a lot
Room in the cellar, Damp carpet, agument over breakfast, just poor
This place did not meet our expectations. There were workers seeming to be doing maintenance work throughout the place. The room itself was rough, broken lamp, shower screen needed replacing & so on. Was not good value for money didn't include breakfast. Would not recommend it.
