the room 732 was big enough and was clean..thats all i need as i was only putting my head down in it..

there was nothing i didnt like about it..

I like being away from a violent housemate. I was able to stay at this hotel and know I was safe.

It was dirty. I did not shower at the hotel because the shower box floor was dirty. The bathroom smelled. The bed was old, the springs poked out and worst of all it had bed bugs which I have walked away covered in bites. The hotel receptionist was rude at check in by answering the phone and making me waiting even longer dispite explaining to her that I am in a hurry to check in due to an appointment I could not afford to miss.

Everyone in the staff was very nice with us. The location of this hotel was great. We had a park right in front of the hotel and the underground was only 5 minute walking distance. We stayed in a triple room and the room was really nice.

Although the breakfast closes at 9:30 a.m. (I believe) they stop refilling the juice machine and putting more bread on the table around 9:15 a.m. This was an inconvenient because on the last day I arrived a bit late and had no juice to drink and the bread quickly was over. We had a triple bedroom, which was located in a patio. You can hear some of the noise in the street, specially when people speak really loud or sirens. Our room door had also a gap underneath so the room would get really cold at night (but we covered the gap with a blanket, so we were ok).

The location is quite perfect, between two underground station , about 20 min to Westminster , but far from traffic and next to green

The location was good. The room was clean. The price was ok. The staff was ok (even if they were not smiling at all...)

The room was freezing cold (cold april day) and there was no heating and no spare blanket. The window was poorly insulated and let the cold and the street noise in. I knew from the previous reviews that the breakfast was disapointing, so I would suggest anyone to enjoy a nice breakfast somewhere else. The wifi connection works only at the reception...

Price, location

Told parking available - it was but only 2 spaces. We'd have been in trouble if not as only metred parking close by. Bathroom - gross and tiny, mouldy and tatty. Bedroom - tiny, hard mattress. No mattress protector, scared to look at mattress as one that was carried across reception was very stained. Our room was accessed off dining room, very near kitchen and had a view of the bins. If foreign travellers stay here, their view would be that England is dirty and run down. I would never stay here again nor recommend it to others. I would warn them off.

Cheap and within a walking distance from the South Clapham underground station.

Initially, we were placed in a tiny and unpleasant room in the basement (sort of little dungeon), which happened to have the heater working in full, so the place was boiling. We left for the day with the promise that the heater would be switched off before we returned. Unfortunately it was still working by 11pm and so we were moved to a penthouse room with no private bathroom for that night. Only from the second night we were finally placed in a decent room that actually resembled what is shown in the photos provided by Booking.com. Other than that, the hotel staff were generally unprepared/helpless. Overall disapointing, even for a low-cost hotel.

The location of the hotel is good because it locates near the underground.

The breakfast is not quite good because the bread is cold and when we stay in the hotel, the breakfast place is always full. The carpet is still really dirty after cleaning.

Staff very friendly and helpful, especially when there were problems (see "didn´t like"). The location is excellent (5min to u- ground and we even walked to Westminster once in 90min), great park across the road. Room heating very good and nice (very) hot water in the shower.

On arrival, we were allocated a basement room without windows, of which moreover the airconditioning didn't work. As I had booked this room for 6 nights, myself and young (13) son at least two months earlier, I was surprised (and shocked). Having said that, when objecting staff didn't seem surprised and were very understanding and friendly. Half an hour later, we were allocated another twin-room on the 2nd floor, which was perfect for us (see "did like"). Unfortunately, the last night we got little sleep as a result of noisy neighbours having a party at 3am. After complaining to reception, this problem was also quickly solved. The breakfast included in the price isn't much: toast and jam, cereals, instant coffee and tea, fruit juice. It could be made a lot more interesting with some fresh fruit, a slice of cheese, or a few yoghurts. Place for eating was too small for all guests to fit in. As it was very cold (the coldest Easter in England for 50 years apparently), an attractive looking extra seating area remained behind glass and was unavailable, as it was unheated. Because of the poor breakfast and cramped seating arrangements, we voluntarily missed our breakfast three times to have a coffee and a bite somewhere else on the way into the city, no problem. All in all: we had a good stay, but I hesitate to recommend the place to other travellers or book it myself again in future without confirming in advance what room I'm going to get. It all could have been a lot worse had we been required to stay in the basement room (I hesitate to even use the word 'room') that had been reserved for us initially. Fortunately, as said, that was not the case, thank goodness another and much better room was available. Frankly, I don't think an otherwise quite good hotel does itself any favours by presenting guests with unacceptable accommodation.

After taking the third room offered I can honestly say I would never stay there again, the room we had the curtains were blowing where there was such a draft, the rooms were tiny and freezing cold you only were given between two four coffee sachets and four milk, it was noisy the breakfast was rubbish!!!!
